– “Come on, go inside; it’s freezing out here.” Kiera, holding a bouquet and an insulated lunch box, welcomed Julian into the martial arts gym.
Julian followed her inside.
Everyone noticed Kiera holding a bouquet of flowers, and their expressions turned curious.
Even the young children sensed something unusual about the flowers held by Coach Caron.
Kiera walked over to the group.
“Coach Caron, this bouquet is stunning,” one of them exclaimed.
“Coach Caron, do you want to have a barbecue? We’re almost finished!” another chimed in.
“Coach Caron, did Uncle Bucham give you those flowers? Why would he give them to you?” someone asked.
Kiera smiled and replied, “You all can eat; enjoy as much as you want. I need to eat too, as Uncle Bucham prepared another meal for me. He mentioned that he passed by a flower shop and saw these beautiful flowers, so he bought a bouquet for me to enjoy.”
Everyone complimented the gorgeous bouquet.
Kiera’s fellow apprentices exchanged glances between the carefree Kiera, the smiling Julian, and then turned their attention to Kendrick.
Kendrick merely glanced at Kiera before sitting down at his usual table, eating barbecue and sipping chrysanthemum tea.
“Big brother,” several coaches approached Kendrick, and one whispered, “Is Julian trying to confess to our junior sister? But it doesn’t seem like it.”
The junior sister’s response didn’t appear to indicate a romantic confession.
She smiled so easily and seemed unbothered.
“Julian claimed he was passing by a flower shop and found the flowers so beautiful that he bought a bouquet for our junior sister. It’s such a weak excuse, yet she actually believed it.”
He had a foolish look on his face, clearly feeling betrayed. “I will also help people financially,” he added.
“My junior sister spends all day with us. She has a masculine personality and is carefree, lacking the depth of thought that Julian possesses. If Julian were to tell her he liked her, she wouldn’t even think twice about it.”
“Unfortunately, my junior sister has a track record of failing at blind dates and is unable to get married. We brothers feel a sense of responsibility in this matter. She gets along too well with us and sees all men as friends.”
“Isn’t that the truth? He truly has no feelings for my junior sister. If he did, marrying her would alleviate the worries of our master Caron’s wife and others regarding the significant events in her life.”
To be precise, it was Mrs. Caron, their master’s wife, who was concerned.
Mrs. Caron often scolded the curator for introducing the junior sister, Kiera, to the school, which led to her developing a more masculine demeanor rather than the delicacy expected of a girl.
While they believed a junior sister with such a personality was great as a friend, they couldn’t envision her as a wife.
Men who went on blind dates with her quickly learned that she was skilled in boxing and martial arts, causing them to flee without even meeting her. They lacked the courage, and those cowardly men were deemed unworthy of her.
Julian, however, was the best match.
“Julian is genuinely a good fit for my junior sister. She is too innocent and loyal. She needs a man like Julian, who is as clever as a fox and possesses countless thoughts. Julian has the capability to protect her.”
“Protect her so she can preserve her purity.”
“Exactly. Julian is an excellent person; he is financially savvy, skilled, has a good temperament, and shows great patience. Every time he visits, he interacts well with the children, and they all adore him.”
Kendrick looked around at everyone and remarked, “Julian has brought you all this food, yet I still can’t keep you from talking.”
