Kenneth was chatting with Mr. and Mrs. Bucham in the hallway.

Mr. Bucham was quite straightforward. Despite only a few decades of age difference between him and Kenneth, they quickly engaged in an enthusiastic conversation.

If Julian hadn’t brought breakfast to his parents, Mr. Bucham and Kenneth might have become sworn brothers.

Mrs. Bucham discreetly kicked Mr. Bucham multiple times.

Has this old man, Mr. Bucham, forgotten where he is?

This was the Caron family home, the residence of their future in-laws.

Kenneth was the brother of their future daughter-in-law. If Mr. Bucham and Kenneth became sworn brothers with different last names, what would their son call Kenneth? This generation would be in chaos.

“Dad, Mom, and Auntie have prepared breakfast for you. You should eat it while it’s hot. We’ve already eaten,” Julian said as he ushered his parents into the dining room.

“Let’s have lunch here at noon. Kiera and I will go out to buy groceries later,” he added.

Mrs. Bucham smiled and replied, “Okay, I’d like to join you and enjoy the snowy scenery. What about you, Husband? You should come along to help carry the groceries.”

Though Mrs. Bucham appeared to be asking for her husband’s opinion, she was making the decision for him.

She was reluctant to leave her husband at the Caron’s house, fearing that Julian would refer to Kenneth as his uncle upon returning with the vegetables.

“Alright,” Mr. Bucham agreed without hesitation.

Mrs. Caron emerged from the kitchen, looking quite embarrassed. “I didn’t realize you were here. Breakfast is very simple, so please make do with it. What would you like for lunch? Don’t hesitate to let me know. I’ll do my best, but it might not turn out perfectly. I treat you like family, so feel welcome,” she said warmly.

Mrs. Bucham smiled and responded, “We won’t be formal; we’re just a….”

“Family. We aren’t picky; we’ll eat whatever we have.”

“In-laws, oh, Mrs. Caron, your daughter Kiera is truly a good girl, unlike our Julian, who can be a real jerk. His father and I often find ourselves frustrated with him.”

Mrs. Caron overlooked the accidental remark made by Mrs. Bucham about her in-laws. She smiled and replied, “Regardless, our Kiera can be quite infuriating. Julian is young yet promising—mature, steady, gentle as jade, good-natured, and tolerant. He has a strong heart and is far superior to our Kiera.”

Mr. Bucham glanced at Julian and teased, “Is the Julian that Mrs. Caron refers to really my son? Why does it sound like she’s talking about someone else?”

“Dad, please finish your breakfast quickly. It won’t taste as good once it’s cold,” Julian urged his parents, feeling helpless as he pushed them to eat.

“Don’t embarrass him and show him some respect! He’s Young Master Bucham,” he thought.

In Wiltspoon, he was regarded as a near-mythical figure, a dragon whose power knew no bounds, and many people were intimidated by him.

When his parents criticized him, they showed him no respect at all, as if they wished to diminish his worth.

Kiera hadn’t responded to him yet, and judging by his parents’ demeanor, they seemed eager to arrange a wedding for him and Kiera as soon as possible.

Half an hour later, Julian and Kiera took Mr. and Mrs. Bucham out to buy groceries.
