Zachary asked warmly, “Would you like me to accompany you?”

“No, I’ll go alone. Your work is important,” Serenity replied, declining his offer.

Zachary didn’t insist on accompanying her; since she was heading to a business meeting, he felt at ease.

Upon arriving at the hotel and stepping out, Serenity spotted Carrie again.

Initially, Carrie planned to return to the villa for dinner, change her clothes, remove her disguise, and quietly go back to her rented house to resume her identity as Miss Newman.

However, halfway through, she changed her mind and instructed her bodyguard to take her to the Wiltspoon Hotel for dinner instead.

Zachary and Serenity frequently visited the Wiltspoon Hotel.

Carrie aimed to muster her courage. She hoped that if she encountered the loving couple by chance and didn’t feel afraid or flee, it would indicate her growth in bravery.

The two bodyguards supported Carrie’s decision without objection.

Thus, when Serenity and Zachary arrived at the Wiltspoon Hotel, they saw Carrie, now looking different.

“Zachary, that’s the young lady who visited my bookstore for information. Her figure seems very familiar to me. Do you recognize her?” Serenity nudged him.

Zachary glanced at her briefly, then looked away and replied calmly, “I don’t know her. I’m not acquainted with any young women, married or unmarried.”

He preferred to maintain a distance from young women.

He didn’t want to compare himself to anyone else’s husband.

Serenity wanted to say something but, considering Zachary’s character, she refrained.

Carrie entered the hotel first. Once inside, she lost sight of Serenity.

Naturally, she couldn’t see Zachary either. Zachary guided Serenity through the green channel, leaving Carrie with no chance to spot them. After their meal, the young couple stayed at the hotel for a lunch break. At two o’clock in the afternoon, Zachary left the hotel with his bodyguards while Serenity remained asleep. Reluctant to wake her, he left two bodyguards behind. Once Serenity woke up, he instructed the bodyguards to take her to the store.

What Carrie did not expect was to see Zachary as he exited the hotel. Her immediate reaction was to hide from him by quickly squatting down against the side of the car. By the time she processed that she had changed her appearance and stood up, Zachary had already departed. The two bodyguards from the Labbe family looked at Carrie with cold, menacing glares.

“No thief is as guilty as you,” one of the bodyguards mocked her.

Carrie could only respond with silence.

“Boarding!” the bodyguard ordered coldly.
