“You two don’t need to send me away. Just head back to the store quickly; it’s cold outside,” Camryn said, urging her friends not to linger.

“Make sure to send us a message when you arrive and let us know you’re safely back in the store,” Serenity cautioned.

Camryn smiled and replied, “I know; just go quickly. If you catch a cold, it’ll be my fault.”

Both women were pregnant mothers.

Serenity and her companion waited for Camryn to get into the car before they returned to the store.

Only half an hour after they returned, Carrie arrived.

She didn’t come as Mrs. Labbe, but instead took the bus.

The largest bus station in Wiltspoon was conveniently located right across from Wiltspoon Middle School, making it easy for Carrie to take the bus.

This was her first time riding a bus. It was Mr. Labbe who had instructed her to leave and come back.

Mr. Labbe had heard her mention meeting Camryn at the bookstore. Although Camryn had been blind in the past, she had excellent hearing. She was Carrie’s half-sister, and thus, she was most familiar with Carrie’s voice.

While Mr. Labbe could alter Carrie’s appearance, he knew perfecting her voice would take time, leaving it as her biggest flaw.

Concerned that Camryn might uncover the plan, Mr. Labbe asked Carrie to exit the car midway. Before she got out, he instructed her to revert to her original appearance and buy some clothes to change into before taking the bus to Wiltspoon Middle School to find Camryn.

This way, even if Camryn and the others grew suspicious, Carrie’s appearance would help dispel their doubts.

Mr. Labbe was aware that Zachary’s people were watching Carrie. As long as she didn’t appear as Mrs. Labbe, her whereabouts would remain hidden from them.

But when Carrie presented herself as Mrs. Labbe, Zachary’s associates couldn’t even consider targeting her. For a time, even the Bucham family lacked the capability to do so.

Mr. Labbe wasn’t exaggerating when he spoke to Carrie; the Labbe family genuinely did not regard the York family as a serious threat.

As for the Bucham family, they simply preferred not to create an enemy; it wasn’t that they feared the Bucham family.

“Camryn, Camryn, come out here!” Before Carrie reached the bookstore door, she called out loudly for Camryn.

The York family’s bodyguards quickly obstructed Carrie’s entrance to the bookstore.

Serenity heard her voice and stepped outside. Upon realizing it was Carrie, she stared for a moment to confirm it was indeed her and not the young woman who had just left. Their faces were distinctly different.

It seemed to be merely a coincidence; Carrie and the young woman who had departed earlier were not the same person, only sharing a similar physique and voice.

This was reminiscent of the man Analia had discovered.
