“Sonny, did you visit your Uncle Lewis today?” Remy asked Sonny.

“Uncle Lewis isn’t available. Auntie came to pick me up to see the baby, but the baby was asleep, so I didn’t get to see him,” Sonny replied.

Sonny spoke clearly and articulated his words well.

Remy thought Sonny resembled Titus.

Titus, who was over a year old, hadn’t spoken clearly when Jane, his sister-in-law, first took him in. However, once he became fluent, he developed a sharp tongue and occasionally spoke in an old-fashioned style. Now, at over three years old, he acted like a little adult and was taller and smarter than most children his age.

Titus had an exceptionally good memory, which was quite remarkable. When he first met Sonny, Sonny was also quite small and struggled to speak. Now, he was like a little ghost.

Remy hoped that the children he and Elisa would have in the future would be as intelligent as Sonny and Titus.

Ben remarked, “The baby is still small and sleeps a lot. Once he gets older, he’ll be able to play with Sonny.”

Sonny chimed in, “My aunt said the same thing. Uncle Johnson, are you always busy? I see Uncle Johnson every time I visit my aunt’s place.”

In Sonny’s eyes, uncles Zack, Josh, and Duncan were all very busy.

Duncan, who had limited mobility, had to return to the company in a wheelchair, making him just as busy as Liberty.

However, Remy did not seem busy. If he were, he wouldn’t be able to see Sonny every time he came over.

Remy smiled and said, “I am busy, but I was concerned about Elisa coming back alone, so I set my work aside to accompany her home.”

Sonny looked up innocently and said, “Uncle Johnson, you could arrange for a bodyguard to follow my aunt like my uncle Zachary did. My aunt has a bodyguard with her wherever she goes, and Uncle Zachary said that…”

This way, he can work with confidence. My aunt is also skilled at taking down bad guys. She’s truly remarkable, and I like her the most.”

Remy smiled. “Yes, yes, your aunt is very powerful, and Aunt Eliza can also handle bad guys, but I still want to send her back and stay for dinner, by the way.”

Sonny gave a knowing look and said, “Uncle Johnson, you’re here to eat. Your parents aren’t around, and no one is cooking for you, so you’re shamelessly eating at my aunt’s house.”

Remy burst into laughter.

Sonny was quite the talker.

He even called himself shameless.

Well, he was definitely cheeky too.

In the past, Mrs. Stone had disapproved of Remy and Elisa.

Whenever Remy visited, Mrs. Stone would wear a sullen expression at the sight of him, but he still shamelessly stayed for dinner.

Elisa and Serenity looked over at Remy and Sonny before returning to their own conversation.

With Sonny chatting away, Remy felt entertained.

Remy said, “Sonny, you’re so smart. I just don’t have anyone to cook for me, so I sent your auntie home and stayed for dinner.”

Sonny asked again, “Uncle Johnson, don’t you know how to cook?”

In Sonny’s mind, aside from Duncan’s mobility issues, he hadn’t seen Duncan in the kitchen, while Zachary and Josh both knew their way around cooking.

There were also other uncles, Zachary’s brothers, in Zachary’s family who could cook.

Remy replied, “I can cook.”

“Uncle Johnson, then why don’t you cook for yourself?”

Remy answered, “Eating alone isn’t enjoyable. Don’t you think that food tastes better when shared with others? Even the finest dishes don’t taste as good when you’re eating by yourself.”

Sonny reflected on how he and Liberty typically ate compared to their meals in kindergarten. Even though Liberty’s food was tastier, he preferred the kindergarten experience because it was lively and filled with other kids.

Sonny nodded in agreement. “That seems to be true.”

Remy commented, “I’m too lazy to cook for myself, so I eat at your aunt’s house. And I really like you, Sonny.”

Sonny lifted his head and puffed out his chest. “Many people like me!”
