-Serenity inquired, “May I inform your elder brother?”
After contemplating for a moment, Tatum replied, “It doesn’t matter. If I need his assistance in the future, I’ll have to reach out to him. If I don’t communicate, he won’t know how to help me.”
Serenity smiled gently. “Your elder brother can assist you with work-related issues, but seeking his advice on emotional matters won’t be helpful. If you face emotional challenges in the future, you can come to me. I understand these things better than he does.”
Zachary had limited knowledge of women. As he put it, all his understanding of the opposite s-e-x was focused on Serenity, leaving him little bandwidth to comprehend other women.
Each woman has a unique personality.
Thus, consulting Zachary about other women’s issues was futile.
Serenity couldn’t replicate Zachary’s sentiments.
Even if someone shared a similar personality with Serenity, they still wouldn’t be her.
As Zachary’s younger brother, Tatum was well aware of who his elder brother was. Since Serenity, his sister-in-law, had offered to help him if needed, he quickly expressed his gratitude.
If Serenity was willing to assist him, it was as good as receiving help from Zachary.
Everyone knew that Zachary was a devoted husband.
In the past, a saying circulated in Wiltspoon’s business circles: Don’t offend Young Master York.
That saying has now evolved to “Don’t offend the eldest young mistress of the York family,” which carries even more severe consequences than crossing Young Master York.
People would rather upset the eldest young master of York than the eldest young mistress.
Tatum stated, “Sister-in-law, I’m going inside to apologize to Mom. Regardless of the circumstances, it’s because of me that Mom and Dad are at odds.”
Serenity nodded.
She entered the house alongside Tatum.
Liam had already calmed his…
Tania wasn’t angry anymore, but when she saw Liam rushing over to take her home late at night, she felt a bit embarrassed and realized she might have been unreasonable.
Liam had also told her that if she truly couldn’t accept Tatum becoming a chef for others, he would no longer embrace the role of an enlightened father and would definitely prevent Tatum from pursuing that career.
After Serenity’s explanation and considering the possibility that Tatum was working as a cook for his future daughter-in-law, Tania wondered if he was indeed pursuing his wife.
Tania felt she couldn’t stop Tatum from following his heart. She resolved to relieve her husband of any concerns, deciding she wouldn’t hinder Tatum’s choices any longer. After all, he was an adult, already thirty years old by any calculation, and it seemed unnecessary to worry about so much.
The child was born while Serenity was pregnant, and Tania happily played with her grandson. She believed that children and grandchildren each had their own blessings, and she no longer cared what they chose to do.
While Tania was curious about her future daughter-in-law—wanting to know her background, family, and appearance—Tatum hadn’t shared any details, making it difficult for her to ask.
One thing was certain: the woman’s character was not an issue. The person Grandma May, her mother-in-law, chose was someone Tania could trust. Looking at Serenity, Camryn, and Hayden, she saw that none of them were bad choices. Grandma May had excellent judgment.
“Mom,” Tatum called out as he entered and noticed his parents sitting on the sofa engaged in conversation. He walked over to greet his mother.
Tania looked up at Tatum. “Tatum, I just came to see your older brother. I plan to stay here for two days to spend time with him.”
“Sister-in-law, I didn’t run away from home,” Tatum said.
He noticed that Tania was no longer angry, which relieved him. With a smile, he sat down and said, “Mom, how could you run away? You just missed my eldest brother and sister-in-law, so you decided to stay for a few days. But, Mom, Dad can’t function without you. If you’re not at home, he can’t eat or sleep. That’s why I sent him here overnight.”
Tania turned to look at Liam, who was sitting beside her.
Liam pretended to look disheveled, but in reality, he took good care of himself and resembled Zachary’s eldest brother.
