Mr. Fraser remarked, “Miss, if I speak it, it may taint your ears.”
“The things Shiloh does often hurt my ears when I hear them. I haven’t listened to them yet, but they are much worse, and I’ve grown immune. I can hear her most scandalous antics. Shiloh seems intent on seducing your three brothers.”
Kathryn responded, “She is beginning to take revenge on my three sisters-in-law.”
Mr. Fraser replied cautiously, “I can’t fathom her thoughts. She is like this. Starting her own business seems impossible. Matriarch Farrell won’t allow her to work, and she won’t leave. Matriarch Farrell also won’t let her find a good job. She refuses to step away from the Jensburg stage. Resentful of all of you, she feels she has no choice but to pursue this path.”
Kathryn smirked slightly and said, “If I were her, I would have left the Farrell family and Jensburg long before discovering that I wasn’t actually a biological child of the Farrells and that the two children were switched due to my biological father. I would have left then. Her adoptive mother, who dotes on her, still has strong feelings for her. She would certainly give her some money. Perhaps she could take everything she had before and move to a place where no one knows her to start anew.”
She must have had a good life in her youth. After all, my mother spent over 20 years nurturing her. If she has the resources to invest in a business, she could do it.”
It is unfortunate that Shiloh made the wrong decision.
Ultimately, it was Shiloh who was unwilling to give up her life in the Farrell family.
She believed she had been the heir to the Farrell family for over 20 years, viewing Kathryn as a naive country girl who didn’t understand anything. It was still uncertain whether Kathryn could successfully take over.
She thought she had a chance. That’s why she didn’t leave. She thought too highly of herself.
wonderfully.
Kathryn initially did not wish to engage in conflict with Shiloh. However, since returning to Farrell’s house, she found herself compelled to confront Shiloh.
The two were engaged in a battle to the death.
Mr. Fraser remarked, “Everyone makes different choices. They are adults, and whatever path they take comes with consequences. She made her choice, and it is no one else’s responsibility. Would you like to inform the young ladies?”
After some contemplation, Kathryn responded, “I am certain Shiloh has a plan in mind. I will inform them again. If there is no evidence, my sisters-in-law might cause trouble, but it will be based on unfounded claims and could harm the relationship between husband and wife.”
Despite this, she sensed that the siblings no longer shared much affection.
The sisters-in-law were aware that their husbands had been unfaithful and that there was another woman involved.
This had created a divide between the couples, yet divorce was not an option. With children involved and business ties between families, there were numerous factors to consider.
“I believe I should consult my mother first and let her decide whether to inform my sisters-in-law. If I don’t, she might think I am siding with my sisters-in-law and preventing my brothers from facing consequences.”
Matriarch Farrell still favored her son.
However, since Shiloh had been wronged, she had lost her standing with Matriarch Farrell.

If Matriarch Farrell were aware of Shiloh’s malicious intentions, she would be the first to take action against her.
Mr. Fraser stated, “Then we need not worry. Matriarch Farrell’s assistant is also aware of these matters.”
As Matriarch Farrell’s assistant, he had more experience than Mr. Fraser. Mr. Fraser had not been assigned to Kathryn for long, and he was certainly not as proficient as Matriarch Farrell’s assistant in every regard. Kathryn decided to follow Mr. Fraser’s advice.
“It’s very late, and it’s getting colder. Miss, I’ll take you back,” Mr. Fraser said, stopping as he did not wish to go any further.
Kathryn glanced at the time; it was already 1:00 a.m. She accepted Mr. Fraser’s suggestion and walked back with him.
After another ten or twenty minutes, they arrived at the hotel entrance. Once Kathryn got into the car, she leaned back in the seat and allowed her tense nerves to relax. She closed her eyes and told Mr. Fraser, “Wake me up when we get home.”
