Despite wearing many layers, Sonny still felt cold.
“My mother and Uncle Lewis went shopping this morning too,” he said.
This was the primary reason for Sonny’s refusal.
Kathryn smiled and replied, “Alright, the next time I get the chance, I will take you to the children’s amusement park.”
“Okay,” Sonny agreed eagerly.
Kathryn spent two or three hours at the Fortress Hotel before leaving.
Once in the car, she told Mr. Fraser, “Mr. Fraser, please take me to the largest indoor children’s playground in Jensburg.”
Turning to her, Mr. Fraser asked, “Do you want to play?”
Kathryn pursed her lips and replied, “I don’t plan to play, but I want to see the innocent smiles of children to heal my heart, which feels full of holes.”
Mr. Fraser responded, “Miss, you’re being too serious. You’re young; don’t dwell on such heavy thoughts.”
Kathryn said, “I’ve experienced a lot. Before a person ages, their heart ages first.”
Mr. Fraser smiled and said, “When we arrive at the amusement park, Miss, you can play as much as you want. I’ll join you.”
Kathryn replied, “Okay.”
Mr. Fraser then said, “Miss, please fasten your seat belt; I’m about to start driving.”
Kathryn began fastening her seat belt.
Once secured, she looked at Mr. Fraser and suddenly asked, “Mr. Fraser, if I borrowed some of your seed to have a baby, would you be okay with that?”
Mr. Fraser, who had just started the car, immediately turned it off again.
He looked at Kathryn, his expression one of shock.
His eyes were inscrutable.
“Miss, I noticed you didn’t drink during lunch,” Mr. Fraser said seriously.
“I’m not drunk. I’m completely sober. I’ve thought about this for a long time. I can’t get married unless I don’t have to take over the Farrell…”
“Family, so that I can marry and have children like a normal woman,” she said.
Mr. Fraser replied, “Miss, you can take a husband.”
“I don’t want to marry. How good can a man be if he is willing to become the son-in-law of the Farrell family? Most of them are like my father. I would prefer to be an old aunt for the rest of my life than marry a man like that.”

Kathryn said, “You don’t need to rush your answer. I’m not in a hurry to have a successor; I’m still a successor myself. Let’s wait until I actually take over the Farrell family before discussing this matter.”
“I believe I will have results within the next two years. If I truly want to have a successor, I should give birth before I turn 35 and consider in vitro fertilization.”
Mr. Fraser’s gaze deepened. Yes, there was no need to rush now.
