Zachary agreed with his wife’s arrangement. She didn’t handle everything; she simply provided both parties the opportunity to communicate clearly in person.

Zachary stated, “I informed Evan, and he will come over.”

Serenity replied, “I don’t need to worry about your tasks. Husband, you focus on your work first, and I’ll do the same for a while.”

Zachary cautioned, “Alright, just be careful not to tire yourself out, and avoid sitting for too long. Make sure to get up and walk around occasionally.”

Serenity was still pregnant, and although she was lightweight, sitting for extended periods wasn’t good for her.

“I know; I value our child even more than you do.”

The couple exchanged a few pieces of advice before Serenity ended the call.

Meanwhile, in Annenburg, Province X.

Tatum was working alone in the spacious kitchen.

The butler had purchased the freshest ingredients needed for today’s cooking, but since Tatum was unsure what dish he wanted to prepare, the butler decided to leave him to work by himself.

Tatum didn’t require any assistance.

He had the entire afternoon, which was ample time.

It was just a few homemade dishes for Elora.

Considering that Elora’s standing in the Ormond family was akin to that of his elder brother, many guests would likely join for dinner, primarily to see if he could pass the retest.

Consequently, Tatum prepared several dishes, but the portions were not large. Even if everyone from the Ormond family gathered for the meal, it would still suffice.

Elora didn’t take this matter too seriously.

She simply informed her secretary that she would either reschedule or cancel the dinner initially planned for that evening. Instead, she would return to the mansion for dinner and interview the new chef.

Oh, he was a chef applicant, not the Ormond family’s official chef.

Who knows if the man named Tatum is capable of cooking delicious food?

What if he is good at snacking?

At around four o’clock in the afternoon, Tinsley knocked on the door of Elora’s office. “Sister, when are we going home for dinner?”

When Tinsley entered, her expression was serious. After closing the office door to block out prying eyes from outside, her demeanor shifted to one of a foodie.

Without looking up, Elora chuckled and replied, “What time is it now? I just want to go home for dinner. Are you very free? If so, I could assign this project to you.”

“No, no, no, I’m not idle; I’m quite busy,” Tinsley quickly waved her hand, anxious that Elora might give her additional tasks.

She was currently overwhelmed, barely able to keep up. However, she knew she couldn’t take things too seriously; otherwise, she’d miss out on moments to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee.

“That’s right, we’re going back to the manor for dinner. Tatum will retake the test this afternoon. I’m really curious to see if he can pass. I also want to find out if his cooking is as good as his snacks.”

Elora replied calmly, “The snacks he makes are edible, but I wouldn’t call them very delicious.”
