Chapter 726
Serenity asked, “Did Elisa misidentify the car?”
Zachary smiled and replied, “Not necessarily. Perhaps Ms. Stone has moved on from her feelings for Mr. York and has fallen for Mr. Johnson instead.”
Serenity found it hard to believe that Elisa, who had been infatuated with Mr. York for years, would misidentify the car. She said, “She probably hasn’t truly fallen for Mr. Johnson. Maybe something about him simply caught her interest.”
“Is Mr. Johnson really a good person? Elisa is incredible. If she can be with Mr. Johnson, we can all be happy for her. I feel bad that she didn’t end up with Mr. York,” Serenity added.
Serenity considered herself Elisa’s love strategist.
Since she couldn’t assist Elisa with Mr. York, it would be nice if she could facilitate a connection between Elisa and Remy.
However, Remy was from Annenburg, which was somewhat far from Wiltspoon. Serenity wondered if her aunt would be okay with Elisa marrying someone from out of town, especially since Elisa was her only daughter.
“Let’s wait and see. If Ms. Stone and Mr. Johnson hit it off, we can support them quietly. It will depend on whether they are meant to be together,” she suggested.
Previously, Zachary had disliked Elisa and believed she had many flaws.
Now, however, he had to acknowledge that, while Elisa was spoiled, willful, reckless, and hot-tempered, she was fundamentally a good person. Additionally, Elisa was very kind to Serenity.
Zachary valued those who treated Serenity well.
Elisa’s kindness toward Serenity was not solely due to their familial ties as cousins; it stemmed from their genuine friendship.
“Exactly,” Serenity agreed.
She understood that there was no need to rush.
Elisa.
Zachary parked the car at the entrance of a supermarket and said to Serenity, “I’ll go in and buy some fruit for Sonny.”
“Just don’t buy any more toys.”
Serenity got out of the car.
“Elisa brings toys for Sonny every time she visits. He has so many toys that he could open a toy store.”
Zachary smiled. “Isn’t it wonderful that Sonny is loved by everyone? Despite his parents being separated and lacking a father’s love, with all of us caring for him, he can still grow up healthy.”
As Sonny gets older, Zachary planned to nurture him using the York family’s methods during every winter and summer vacation, aiming to train Sonny to become a prodigy.
Zachary was confident about Sonny’s bright future, as long as Sonny was willing to learn.
Of course, he wouldn’t invest any more effort if Sonny turned out to be lazy.
“His grandma visits occasionally, mostly to complain to my sister about that b*tch Jessica. She wants my sister to remarry her scumbag son. I can’t believe how shameless they are!”
Before Liberty’s divorce, Hank’s mother frequently criticized Liberty for only knowing how to spend money instead of earning it, urging Hank to split expenses with her. Hank cheated on Liberty, leading to their divorce.
Once they divorced, Hank’s mother began to complain about how much Jessica was spending and even suggested that Liberty was preferable to Jessica.
Zachary’s dark eyes glinted. “As long as she doesn’t try to take Sonny away, just let her say what she wants. That way, Liberty can keep tabs on how Hank and Jessica are doing. Honestly, Seren, I’d love to see both Hank and Jessica struggle in life.”
Even Zachary had a taste for gossip.
