Eleanor was indeed struggling a bit. As lan leaned over to take their daughter, Eleanor's faint, pleasant scent wafted toward him. He looked up at her, and as she sensed his gaze, her own eyes met his deep ones.

She let go and took a step back. Holding their daughter, lan's lips curved into a faint smile before he turned and walked ahead.

Eleanor followed him inside. After she opened the door for him, lan changed his shoes and carried Evelyn straight upstairs.

One held their daughter while the other took off her shoes and tucked her into bed. The scene felt like a return to the past; when it came to their daughter, the two of them moved with perfect, unspoken coordination.

After Evelyn was asleep, Eleanor went downstairs first. Joslyn had prepared tea and offered it to lan as he came down. "Mr. Goodwin, please have some tea before you go."

lan nodded and turned to Eleanor. "I was just thinking we could talk about the Vesper Joy Hotel's revenue for the first half of the year."

Eleanor had already reviewed it and found it to be very stable. She nodded. "Is there a problem?"

"I have some new plans and wanted to get your opinion," lan said, sitting down on the sofa and picking up the cup of tea Joslyn had poured.

Joslyn had already discreetly left the living room.

The spacious room was quiet, filled only with the gentle aroma of tea, yet the atmosphere felt subtly charged.

"Alright, let's hear it," Eleanor said, taking a sip from her own cup.

lan began to outline his brand upgrade and expansion plans. Worried she might not follow the technical details, he explained the global hotel industry market in simpler, more concise terms.

His business acumen had always been sharp and precise. Eleanor had to admit that his plans and proposals were unique, demonstrating clear foresight and absolute control.

After listening, Eleanor nodded. "I'll have the Ellington Group implement your new proposal and begin the basic planning for the transition."

lan nodded but made no move to get up and leave. He leaned back, his eyes fixed on Eleanor's face. When they weren't discussing work, his gaze held a deep, unreadable quality.

Eleanor noticed his teacup was empty, but the pot was as well. "Would you like more?" she asked.

The implication was clear: wasn't it time for him to leave?

lan raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Are you in a hurry to get rid of me?"

"I still have experiment data to review in my study," Eleanor stated plainly.

lan blinked, then stood up. "Alright, I won't disturb your work. But don't stay up too late."

Eleanor nodded and saw him to the door. As soon as he left, Joslyn came to clear the tea set.

Eleanor went upstairs to work.

He then introduced the other executives in the room. One young engineer grew excited upon seeing her. "Dr. Sutton, I'm extremely interested in your theory on Al nanobots."

"Thank you," Eleanor replied with a polite smile and nod.

"Dr. Sutton, please have a seat," lan said, his tone carrying a professional calm.
