Eleanor was stunned for a moment, instinctively touching her face. "It's just that brand I mentioned to you last time. I haven't used anything else."

Gwenda stared at her, a probing look in her eyes. "Then why didn't it work for me? Your results are incredible! Just look at your skin—it's absolutely radiant. You can't even see your pores. You look even better than before, practically glowing from the inside out."

The tips of Eleanor's ears burned as her thoughts drifted to a certain someone's insatiable appetite in bed over the past two nights.

"It might be—" Eleanor cleared her throat lightly. "I got a lot of good rest when I went

to Kingston for the conference." Changing the subject, she asked, "Gwenda, have you found a boyfriend yet?"

Gwenda sighed. "My mom has been constantly pushing me to go on blind dates. I want to! I just haven't met the right guy yet."

"You'll meet someone eventually," Eleanor comforted her.

Gwenda looked at Eleanor with a hint of envy. Eleanor obviously didn't have to worry about marriage, but things were a bit more difficult for her.

After lunch, they returned to the lab. Eleanor put on her lab coat and began calibrating the parameters. The precision of this equipment was vital to her work.

While she was engrossed in her tasks, she felt someone watching her through the glass window outside the lab. She instinctively looked up, and a wave of surprise washed over her.

lan stood there.

He was holding a bouquet of flowers in his hands.

Eleanor gave Callie a quick heads-up and pushed the door open to step outside. It was one thing for lan to visit, but bringing flowers made it feel like a public announcement.

"What are you doing here?" Eleanor asked him.

This time, lan hadn't brought roses. Instead, he held a bouquet of White Balloon Flowers-understated yet remarkably fresh.

"I missed you, so I came to see you." lan's gaze lingered on her, unable to pull away.

Eleanor was wearing her lab coat over a crisp white blouse. Her hair was casually pinned back, with a few stray strands falling perfectly framing her face. It was

professional, yet in the eyes of the man looking at her, there was an indescribable allure.

It was forbidden, yet undeniably sexy.

"What are you staring at?" Eleanor murmured, feeling a bit self-conscious under his intense gaze.

"You," he answered frankly. "You look incredibly sexy in that lab coat."

Eleanor quickly glanced around, relieved to find the hallway empty.

That thought had been buried in lan's heart for a long time. He had probably felt this

way since the very first time she appeared in front of him wearing a lab coat.

Eleanor probably had no idea how captivating she looked to him in this setting. "Are you done with work?" lan asked.

"Not yet. I'm still calibrating the equipment. I might be home a little late tonight."

"Alright. I'll pick up Evelyn, and we'll

figure out the rest when you're

done." fan reached out, gently

tucking

stray lock of hair behind herear. "We'll wait for you at home."

After lan left, Eleanor returned to her office carrying the flowers. Gwenda immediately spotted her and bounded over with a teasing grin Mr. Goodwin brought those, didn't he?"

Eleanor nodded. "Yeah, it was him."

"How romantic!" Gwenda laughed.

Eleanor's cheeks warmed. "He just stopped by to—"

Gwenda covered her mouth to stifle a giggle and quickly interrupted, "I know, I know. He made a special trip just to see you."

Eleanor found herself completely speechless. Gwenda wasn't exactly wrong.
