They had intended to force Anastasia to bring Lauren back. Confident in their irreplaceability, they believed they wouldn't suffer the same fate as Regan. But they had been too complacent. Who could have imagined that Anastasia would be able to recruit people from the Global Harmony Medical Institute?
"The facilities look great," one of the newcomers remarked, looking around with a mix of curiosity and approval.
They saw the pale faces of Rose and the other researchers but wisely ignored them, pretending not to notice.
"Alright, take Ms. Rose and the others to complete their exit paperwork," Anastasia instructed the HR manager crisply. "They feel Unison Pharma is beneath them, so I won't force them to stay."
The HR manager beamed. "Right this way, everyone. I'll process your paperwork as quickly as possible so you won't be delayed in finding a new employer."
"Also, please pack up your belongings and clear the space for our new employees," Anastasia added. "And one more thing. I recall the company paid a twenty-million-dollar breach-of-contract fee for Ms. Rose. The agreement stated she had to work here for at least five years, or she would have to compensate Unison Pharma double that amount. Isn't that right? Ms. Rose, don't forget about that forty million."
Rose's face went white.
Where would she get that kind of money?
But Anastasia paid her no mind. After efficiently arranging everything, she left without giving any of them a chance to beg or repent.
Two hours later, Rose and the others were escorted out of Unison Pharma.
Feeling utterly humiliated, Rose found a quiet corner and immediately called Jonas. He found Anastasia unworthy of his time and hadn't even bothered to come to the office today.
As soon as the call connected, Rose recounted the events. "Mr. Moore, what do we do now?"
"What?!" Jonas was shocked. He clearly hadn't expected Anastasia to make such a move. "Is she insane?!"
"She's not insane, she's confident," Rose said through gritted teeth. "She managed to recruit people from Global Harmony. Why would she need us?"
Jonas's face darkened, his brow deeply furrowed. *People from Global Harmony?* Lauren had tried to recruit from there before, but she had failed. Only a few visiting students were willing to entertain
the idea and Laurea ultimately
fooked down on them. How had Anastasia managed it so easily?
In his mind, Lauren was perfect and peerless. He had no idea that the students had been won over by Anastasia sheer talent-a level of brilliance Lauren, for all her skills, simply couldn't match.
"Did she fire everyone?" Jonas asked.
"Yes. Anyone who sided with Ms. Brennan and participated in the strike was fired."
She hesitated to tell him that many of them were already regretting their decision. n. Anastasia had been right about one thing: Unison Pharma's compensation was exceptional, something they were unlikely to find elsewhere. More importantly, Rose herself was now in a desperater situation Her previous company had effectively blacklisted her. Unison Pharma had been her only lifeline.
"Mr. Moore, did we make a mistake...?" Rose asked, her voice laced with anxiety.
"Just wait," Jonas said with a cold snort. "I'll make Anastasia beg for you all to come back."
