Anastasia simply found the situation absurd and comical. She looked at Monica's upturned chin with a look of pity one might reserve for the truly clueless.

She asked in all sincerity-

"I have a question I'm curious about. What exactly gives you the confidence to believe my Hubby is the son of a mistress, while your boyfriend is Mr. Harrison Lancaster's actual brother?"

"Hilarious!" Monica felt that Anastasia, who was still denying everything, was absolutely pathetic. "Do you think I don't know my own boyfriend's identity?"

"Exactly!" the others chimed in. "We've seen Mr. Lancaster's style with our own eyes. How could he not be a Lancaster?"

Monica sneered, "Stop being stubborn. Hurry up, smash that fake on your wrist, apologize to me, and you can leave!"

She held up her own wrist, displaying the gemstone bracelet. "This is a one-of-a- kind gift from my Lennon. I don't want to see any fakes!"

"That's right, smash it! How shameless can you be, wearing a fake in front of the real owner?!"

When Anastasia didn't move, someone hoping to curry favor with Monica stepped forward, intending to do it for her.

"Are you deaf? Then I'll help you—"

Before he could finish, a lazy voice cut through from the ballroom entrance. "Well now, what's all this?"

Everyone turned, and someone gasped in excitement—

"Mr. Harrison Lancaster?!"

Anastasia turned instinctively and saw a group of people at the entrance. The three men leading them were Marcus, who had just spoken, a business tycoon she had only ever seen in magazines, and, to her surprise, Harrison!

"Mr. Harrison Lancaster is really here? Oh my god, Monica, you have so much clout!" someone whispered excitedly.

Monica was utterly shocked, then overjoyed. Mr. Harrison Lancaster came for her! This proved how important she was to the Lancaster family!

She quickly pushed through the crowd in front of her and walked forward. "Mr. Harrison Lancaster-"

Her voice died in her throat, and the smile on her face froze.

Of the three men, the tycoon was in his forties or fifties, so he couldn't be Harrison Lancaster As for the other two, was Mr. Jackson, whom she'd met before, and the other was Anastasia's boyfriend!

How... How could this be?!

While she was still reeling, Mr. and Mrs. Scott had already rushed forward, beaming. "Mr. Harrison Lancaster, this is just Monica's birthday. We didn't expect you to come in person!"

"Thank you so much for valuing Monica this way. When Monica marries into the Lancaster family, she will definitely be a good daughter-in-law!"

Mrs. Scott was radiant, speaking loudly and proudly, as if she wanted everyone in the ballroom to hear.

The couple was ecstatic. Today's party, built on their daughter's relationship with a Lancaster, had already brought them numerous connections, and their company troubles were about to be solved. They thought that was the biggest gain of the day, but they never imagined Mr. Harrison Lancaster himself would show up!

Harrison, who was just passing by, lifted his gaze coolly. "Do I know you?"

Mr. Scott quickly stepped forward

and extended his hand. "Of course a

man of your stature wouldn't know small figures like us, Mr Harrison Lancaster, but you must know. Monica. I'm Monica's father-"

Harrison had no interest in listening to such trivialities. His eyes swept the room and

locked onto Anastasia, his expression instantly softening.

"Ana, come here."

A smile lit up Anastasia's face. She ran to Harrison's side and hugged his arm. "Hubby, what are you doing here?"

Hubby?

Mr. Scott's smile froze on his face. Everyone else was dumbstruck.
