What else could Naomi be here for? Harrison, of course!

She pursed her lips and didn't ask anything else.

Harrison saw his client out and then returned to his office.

He saw her sitting on the sofa, a book in her hands, but the pages were rustling loudly, a clear sign she wasn't actually reading. His gaze softened.

"Why the long face? Who upset you?"

Anastasia finally noticed he had come in. She tossed the book aside and huffed unhappily, "Who upset me? You don't know?"

Harrison had already guessed and found it amusing. He walked over and wrapped his arms around her. "Timothy came to discuss a partnership today. It was a scheduled appointment, but I didn't know Naomi was coming with him. Logan just told me."

"Really?" Anastasia's gloomy mood instantly cleared up.

Just now, Naomi had claimed Harrison had given them permission to come up. She knew she was being deliberately misled!

"Really." Harrison kissed the woman in his arms. "If you're unhappy, I'll just have them leave. We don't have to go through with this partnership."

"No, that's alright..."

She didn't like them, but she wouldn't interfere with work.

Ana was being so understanding and considerate, which made Harrison's heart melt even more. "Do you want to come with me in a bit?"

"No," Anastasia pouted. Seeing those two would just annoy her.

Harrison chuckled softly and teased, "Not worried about me spending time with Naomi?"

Anastasia replied proudly, "Hmph, my hubby won't be easily swayed by just anyone!"

Harrison adored her cute antics. He held her tightly, and they shared a tender moment before he finally left the office for the meeting room.

Naomi and Timothy had been waiting for a while. Naomi glanced at the door for the umpteenth time, and finally, Harrison entered.

"Sorry, I was held up."

After a casual greeting, Harrison took his seat.

Naomi spoke in a playful yet intimate tone, "Didn't Mr. Scott leave a while ago?

What held you up for so long, Harrison?"

Harrison answered without hesitation, "My wife came by. I was spending some time with her."

Naomi's smile faltered.

Harrison wasn't the type to talk about his private life, but now he was always bringing up his Ana. She didn't know if he had changed after getting married or if he was intentionally saying it for her to hear.

Before Naomi could say anything else, Harrison turned directly to Timothy "Let's begin if you iwantto

partner with the Lancaster Group,

Mr. Lawson, how much

commitment can you offer?"

Timothy had a bad leg, but he was Morgan Lawson's only son and highly capable,

so he had already taken over most of the Lawson family's affairs from his father.

Although they had known each other since childhood and had some semblance of a friendship, Harrison never mixed business with personal

feelings. His opening the seta strictly professional tone.

Timothy smiled. "Since I came here today, I naturally came with sincerity."

He paused, then turned to his sister. "Naomi, why don't you go take a walk? I'll call you when we're done."

Naomi, already upset and distracted by Harrison's attitude, didn't argue. She simply stood up and left.
