Lizetta's ears rang, and her head spun dizzily for a moment.

By the time she gathered her bearings, she heard Eartha's panicked voice.

“Liz, are you okay? Let me see! Conrad, how could you hit her?!"

The two Porter brothers quickly swarmed her as well.

“Lizetta, are you alright?"

"Your face is swollen. Come upstairs with me, and we'll find some ointment. Conrad is still furious, let's go..."

As the three Porters crowded around her, Lizetta felt a dizzying buzz in her ears, like ten thousand flies swarming her head.

To make matters worse, Silas reached out to grab her arm again. God only knew what he planned to do if he dragged her upstairs.

Lizetta absolutely didn't believe the brothers were just coincidentally at the house today.

"Don't touch me!"

She shot the three of them a fierce, defensive glare. For a second, the sheer ice in her eyes actually froze the Porters in their tracks.

Lizetta glared at Conrad with bloodshot eyes. "Hah, flying into a rage out of humiliation? My mother's spirit in heaven is watching every single one of you!"

With those words, she grabbed the edge of the heavy tablecloth and yanked backward with all her might.

With one massive, explosive pull.

Crash! Clatter! Smash!

The entire lavish feast was swept off the table, sending ceramic plates and heavy soup bowls shattering onto the floor.

Shards of porcelain flew through the air, accompanied by splashing, scalding hot broth.

Lizetta had prepared for the chaos and dodged far out of the way.

But the three Porters weren't so lucky. Eartha, wearing a knee-length skirt that left her calves bare, was instantly sliced by flying porcelain and scalded by the boiling soup, prompting a shrill scream of agony.

"Ah! It burns..."

She swayed on her feet, the color draining entirely from her face.

Conrad rushed forward in an absolute panic.

"Eartha!"

Seeing the bloody cuts and angry red burns blistering on Eartha's legs, Conrad's face contorted with rage. He spun around and lunged at Lizettaz raising his hand to spike her again.

But this time, Lizetta firmly grabbed his wrist with both hands, stopping the blow mid-air.

"You ungrateful brat!" Conrad roared.

Lizetta scoffed. She knocked the glasses clean off his nose, sending them clattering into the wreckage below.

"What's the point of wearing glasses when you're completely blind!"

Releasing his arm, she spun on her heel and marched toward the exit.

Conrad glared at her retreating back furiously. "Don't let her leave! Stop her!"

The villa's maids immediately

rushed forward to block her path

Lizetta's heart tightened slightly, but Eartha desperately grabbed

Conrad's sleeve.

"No, forget it. My legs hurt too much. Please, just help me run them under cold water."

Seeing the severe blisters forming on her inflamed skin, Conrad abandoned his pursuit in a panic.

"How did it get this bad? And you're still defending her! Does she look like a daughter to you? It's completely outrageous."

Without another word, he scooped Eartha up in his arms and frantically rushed toward the nearest bathroom.

The Porter brothers hurriedly trailed after them. Watching Conrad carry Eartha away, Lizetta curled her lip in disgust.

Putting on a dramatic soap opera at their age-staying there even one more second made her want to throw up.

Pulling her gaze away, she swiftly exited the villa without looking back.

Getting into the driver's seat, Lizetta unapologetically started Andrea's Porsche, ready to peel out of the driveway.

But out of nowhere, Andrea rushed up, frantically pounding on the car window.

"Lizetta, why did you hurt my mom?! Get out right now! You're not taking my car. Go back inside and apologize to her!"

Andrea's furious voice was muffled through the heavy glass.

Ignoring her completely, Lizetta slammed her foot on the gas and sped off into the distance.

In the rearview mirror, Andrea

stamped her feet in mock rage. But the moment the car disappeared

from sight, all the anger vanished. from her face, replaced by a slow, triumphant smirk.

At that exact moment.

Remington Dashiell arrived at the Chime Pavilion.
