She had been pleading her innocence for the past twenty-four hours, but the police turned a deaf ear, biting into her story like bloodhounds.

"Andrea Porter, your biological mother has already confessed. You put her up to it, and you were the one who contacted her."

"Andrea, you better think carefully. That car is registered in your name, and you were the one who brought Lizetta Gardenia to Amber Hill Estate. You have undeniable suspicion and responsibility. If you refuse to come clean now, wait until Jolin Gardenia spills even more. You won't be able to run from being the mastermind, and no one will be able to help you then."

Hearing that Jolin had already confessed, Andrea unconsciously swallowed hard, her fingers digging fiercely into her knees.

Her face paled as she asked.

"I really didn't try to hurt Lizetta. I have nothing to gain by harming her. I've already been stripped of my name and kicked out of the Madden family..."

Despite her words, panic clawed at Andrea's chest.

She truly had no emotional attachment to Jolin; their relationship was purely transactional.

She had no way of knowing if Jolin had suddenly flipped on her.

But she also knew that if the police actually had solid evidence, they wouldn't be wasting time interrogating her like this.

Given Remington Dashiell's overwhelming influence in Zion City, if they had even a shred of witness testimony or physical proof, she wouldn't be sitting here unharmed.

With reddened eyes, Andrea put on a deeply concerned expression.

"Where is Lizetta? Has she woken up yet? She has to wake up. She just has to."

Seeing her stubborn denial, the interrogating officer scoffed.

"Andrea, if anything happens to Lizetta, Mr. Nelson will undoubtedly fall severely ill. If the Madden family descends into chaos, how could you, as Conrad West's adopted daughter not benefit?"

"Perhaps if Conrad seizes control, you'll instantly become Ms. Madden again, won't you? Furthermore, even if Nelson Madden survives, you're the child they raised by their side for over twenty years. Without Lizetta, given enough time, the Madden family would likely accept you back."

"With such massive stakes and so many grievances, Andrea, how can you claim you have no motive?"

Under the officer's piercing gaze, Andrea felt as though she had been completely seen through.

But she absolutely could not confess!

As long as she survived these twenty-four hours, they had to release her without concrete evidence.

"I really didn't, Officer. These are all just your assumptions. Why do you insist on thinking I'm so ruthless and evil? The Madden family raised me for over two decades How could I

ever harm my grandfather? Even though I was kicked out of the

house, in my heart, they will always be the grandparents I love and respect the most."

The police fell silent, and Andrea let out a long sigh of relief.

Just when she thought they had run out of tactics, the sharp-eyed female officer suddenly let out a cold laugh.

"Andrea, you must be very familiar with King's Diner behind the Blue Rain Beauty Spa, right?"

Andrea's expression violently twisted, her fingernails digging so deeply into her skin that a drop of blood welled up.

The female officer struck while the iron was hot.

"What, have you forgotten so quickly that you met with Jolin at King's Diner to scheme?"

Andrea rushed to reply, "I don't know any King's Diner. I do go to that beauty spa often, but I never knew about any diner behind it, and I've certainly never been there."
