Lizetta noticed Tina sitting on the nearby sofa scrolling through her phone, which meant she clearly wasn't the one in the bathroom.

She shifted slightly, preparing to stand up.

"Is someone in there?"

Fiona grabbed her hand with a laugh. "It's the maid. Remember how I said I stained my gown? She's just washing it."

The maid was one of the Dashiell family's long-time staff. Lizetta smiled.

"I should go say hi. I haven't seen her in forever."

Before she could even stand up, Fiona pulled her back down.

"No need, no need! She's busy working, and you popping in would just make her uncomfortable. Liz, sweetie, look at this with me."

"What is it?"

Thinking nothing of it, Lizetta settled back into her seat and leaned closer.

Fiona pulled out her phone, tapping open her photo gallery.

"I've been looking at some gorgeous dresses. They'd look absolutely stunning on

you. Pick out the ones you like, and I'll buy them for you."

Lizetta chuckled. "Fiona, I don't need new clothes. I have plenty..."

"I guarantee you don't have dresses like these. Just look!"

Fiona held up the screen, and Lizetta glanced at it.

Oh boy. She definitely didn't have these.

They were wedding dresses. Lizetta let out a helpless laugh.

"Fiona, isn't it a bit early to be dress shopping?"

Fiona shook her head enthusiastically. "Not at all! Wedding gowns need to be

custom-made. Getting everything tailored by hand takes at least three or four

months. If the fit isn't right, alterations take another month! Starting now isn't early at all."

Customizing a wedding dress absolutely did not take that long.

But seeing how excited Fiona was, Lizetta couldn't bring herself to crush her joy.

She smiled. "Alright, let's take a look."

"Yes, let's! Look at this one. The bodice down to the waistline is completely encrusted with hand-sewn diamonds. It would shimmer like a galaxy when you move! Gorgeous, right? And this one I love the sleek silhouette. It flows so beautifully. The veil is super unique too..."

Fiona swiped through the photos,, chatting animatedly with Lizetta, However, her eyes darted briefly

toward Tina on the sofa, then flicked

toward the bathroom.

Taking the hint, Tina stood up and walked out. A few moments later, a doctor walked

in with a nurse.

Tina stepped forward, gently interrupting their conversation.

"Ma'am, it's time for another quick check-up."

Fiona paused, and Lizetta quickly stood up. Fiona waved her off.

"Liz, don't wait around for this. Go rest in your room, and come back

later to have dinner with me l'Iksend youall those dress photos so you can look at them properly

"Okay."

Lizetta agreed, nodding politely to the doctor before heading for the door.

As she passed the bathroom, her footsteps faltered. She tilted her head, listening closely, but there wasn't a single sound coming from inside.

Deciding not to pry, she stepped out into the hallway.

The second she was out, the bathroom door cracked open. A tall, skinny figure slipped out, head bowed low.

The doctor and nurse, who had supposedly come to do a check-up, simply moved aside. Fiona looked toward the door and shook her head with a resigned sigh.

Five minutes later, the tall, skinny figure crept out of the room. He hesitated for a second before shuffling toward Lizetta's room.

He carefully peered through the small window on her door, clearly desperate to catch a glimpse of her.

But the bed facing the door was completely empty.

Seeing she wasn't there, a flash of deep disappointment crossed his eyes. He tilted

his head, scanning the rest of the room.

Right at that moment, a figure suddenly stepped out from the side of the door. Through the glass, they locked eyes.
