Thomas stood at the end of the front row, right next to Yvonne.

"Mr. Taylor," Yvonne greeted him politely.

The formal address made Thomas a little uncomfortable, but he still smiled at her with his usual warmth. "What a coincidence, we're on the same set again."

"It's a small industry. We're bound to run into each other," Yvonne replied evasively.

"I'm just here for a guest role, only a few days of filming," Thomas continued to smile. “But you, you should give it your all. The character is a great fit for you." "Thank you," Yvonne said politely, avoiding eye contact with him the entire time. After the opening ceremony, Yvonne's schedule for the first day was packed. The drama was a suspenseful crime procedural. The main storyline followed a brilliant detective in the major crimes unit as he solved several sensational cases that shocked the nation.

The series was divided into four arcs, each covering a different case.

Yvonne played Stella, the female lead of the first case.

Stella was a nineteen-year-old girl in the prime of her youth. Although her parents were divorced and she lived with her father, stepmother, and stepsister, everyone

saw her as a well-behaved and academically gifted young woman.

Despite being a blended family, they appeared to be harmonious, and the stepmother treated Stella even better than her own daughter.

But on Christmas Eve, during a happy family gathering, this perfect family of four was brutally massacred. Only Stella survived.

When the police arrived, they were met with a horrific scene. The family members lay in pools of their owne blood. The father had been disemboweled, the stepmothers face was slashed, a hard object had been forced into the stepsister's lower body, and Stella herself had been stabbed multiple times. She was on the brink of death and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors managed to save her life.

The case was initially classified as a home invasion robbery-homicide, as cash and

valuables were missing from the house. Given the gruesome nature of the deaths,

the police also suspected it might have been a revenge killing.

However, Stella's father and

stepmother were known for being amiable and didn't seem to have any enemies Even if they had miner disagreements with colleagues at work, it wouldn't warrant the annihilation of their entire family. Cóntent

Moreover, after extensive interviews, anyone who had conflicts with the couple was cleared of suspicion.

Although Stella survived, the trauma of her family's murder had clearly terrified her,

and the police couldn't get any useful information from her.

She only said that the killer was a tall

man wearing a mask, so she

couldn't see his face. She knew nothing else. Whenever the police pressed for more details, she would just cry looking like a frightened deer, making everyone pity her tragic circumstances.

The case hit a dead end. It was a nearly perfect crime; the police couldn't find any trace of the killer at the scene. It was as if the murderer was invisible.

A year passed with no progress on the case.

After being discharged from the hospital, Stella arranged the funerals for her family. She then inherited all of her father's assets, sold off all the properties, and bought a plane ticket to go abroad.

But just as she was about to board the plane, she was arrested by the police.

It turned out that this seemingly harmless young girl was the one who had murdered

her father, stepmother, and stepsister.

It was a very complex character, and playing it would be challenging.

But Yvonne had been a police officer and had taken psychology courses at the

academy. She could empathize with Stella.
