Noticing the excitement lighting up Elaine’s face, Charlie couldn’t help but smile. He opened the rear door and retrieved a collection of Hermes gift boxes from the back seat.

As Elaine laid eyes on the stack of Hermes boxes, her eyes widened in disbelief, sparkling with joy!

She couldn’t contain her excitement and exclaimed, “Oh my goodness, it’s Hermès! An Hermès bag is incredibly pricey. Charlie might not really splurge on that for me, but even an Hermès scarf costs tens of thousands of dollars!”

With glee, she rushed forward, covering her mouth in astonishment, “Oh wow! It’s Hermès! My dear son-in-law, you are so generous! What have you picked up from Hermès for your mother?”

Charlie selected a few boxes of varying sizes and handed them to Elaine, saying, “Mom, this larger one is a Hermès bag. It suits your style perfectly. Do you like it?”

When Elaine realized it was a bag, she jumped up in sheer excitement!

“Oh my goodness! It’s truly a bag! My wonderful son-in-law! You are so generous with your mom!”

Elaine had always desired a high-end bag, but for years, her finest possession was a standard Louis Vuitton, which cost around $15,000. In her opinion, Hermès bags were meant for the elite, far beyond her reach. She often dreamed of owning one but hesitated, knowing it would take at least $100,000 to $200,000 to acquire such luxury. Even when she had some money, she could never justify the expense.

So, it was a complete shock to her that Charlie had gifted her an Hermès bag!

This truly took her by surprise!

She eagerly tore open the Hermes package, revealing a stunning handbag worth over a hundred thousand dollars. She gleefully said, “Mom, this bag is absolutely gorgeous! What do you think?”

Afterward, she turned to Charlie with a beaming smile, saying, “Oh my son-in-law, you are so generous! You bought such an extravagant bag for mom!”

Charlie simply smiled and replied, “I’m glad you like it.”

“I love it! I adore it!” Elaine exclaimed, clutching the bag tightly and sighing, “I can’t believe I didn’t recognize my incredible son-in-law’s potential before! My dear son-in-law, let’s forget the past!”

Charlie nodded in agreement.

He had realized that someone like Elaine, with her demanding nature, could be easily pleased with a little generosity. He thought back to all the times they had clashed, even when he sent her to a detention center for a few days.

But it was fine; Elaine’s disposition was such that she didn’t realize the struggles of the world. After facing hardships, her attitude would naturally soften.

Afterward, Charlie pulled out two smaller gift boxes, presenting them to Elaine, saying, “Mom, I have two more gifts for you.”
