At that moment, the helicopter’s engine gradually revved up, picking up speed until it began to ascend slowly into the sky.

Rueben mused to himself, “This is a great chance to admire Tokyo’s scenery from high above.”

As he contemplated this, a captivating voice came through his headset, saying, “Number two and three, take off; number four and five, start your engines; number six and seven, begin preparations!”

Rueben found himself puzzled, wondering, “What are number two, three, four, and five? What is this lady talking about?”

Curious, his assistant pointed out the window towards the rooftops of two adjacent buildings and exclaimed, “Lord Moore, look! Two helicopters have just taken off from those roofs, and they’re identical to ours!”

Rueben turned his head and, to his surprise, saw it was true!

Two identical helicopters were lifting off simultaneously on both the left and right sides.

Not only were these aircraft the same model—a Super Puma—but they also sported the same livery, featuring the Ito Navigation Corporation branding.

Rueben, astonished, asked the beautiful woman, “Are those two helicopters yours as well?”

With a nod and a smile, she replied, “Yes, they are accompanying you for the entire flight.”

Rueben was taken aback. “What do you mean by accompanying me the whole way?”

She explained, “They will fly alongside you throughout your journey, similar to a fleet’s escort vehicle.”

Rueben’s expression shifted to one of surprise as he said, “Uh… is that really necessary? I hope Master Wade isn’t going to go broke over this!”

The woman reassured him, “Don’t worry, Mr. Wade won’t have to pay a single penny.”

Rueben nodded, thinking to himself, “It’s clear that Charlie has targeted another wrongdoer in Tokyo…”

As they spoke, the two helicopters rose to the same altitude and began to follow Rueben’s helicopter, all three maintaining the same speed.

Not long after taking off, Rueben’s assistant pointed excitedly to the rooftops again, saying, “Lord Moore! There are two more helicopters on the buildings on either side!”

Rueben squinted in disbelief!

“That makes five! Is this really necessary?”

Just then, the assistant pointed into the distance, exclaiming, “Lord Moore, I think I see black helicopters on the rooftops of those buildings ahead!”

Following her gesture, Rueben noticed two tiny black shapes about a kilometer away.

Upon closer inspection, he could confirm that those shapes were indeed the same type of helicopter he was aboard!

To his surprise, the two helicopters that had just taken off were now in front of them.

The fleet had expanded from three helicopters to five.

Soon, the two distant black shapes grew larger in his view, confirming they were indeed helicopters.

After a moment, these two helicopters also began to ascend.

The fleet now grew to seven aircraft.

At this point, Rueben felt somewhat overwhelmed.

He couldn’t fathom what Charlie was up to. It was just a pick-up; did it really require such an extravagant display?

As he pondered this, he heard the lovely voice on the intercom say, “Taking off two at a time is too inefficient; let’s launch four at once next!”
