Don Albert promptly instructed everyone to open the heavy iron door. As soon as he stepped inside, the sounds of fighting dogs barking from the nearby kennels filled the air.
Noticing the commotion, Don Albert’s expression turned cold as he shouted, “Silence those dogs! If anyone dares to bark, I will put it down!” Remarkably, his voice seemed to carry authority, and all the dogs in the kennel fell silent at once.
Feeling satisfied, Don Albert turned to Charlie and said, “Master Wade, please proceed!”
Charlie followed Don Albert into the kennel, where he encountered the men of Walter and Lord Banks, along with John Garrett and his companions.
Upon seeing Charlie, John Garrett’s eyes widened in horror, as if he had seen a ghost. Since being imprisoned in the kennel and witnessing Walter’s downfall, his fear of Charlie had intensified. Trapped here, he was most anxious about how Charlie would deal with him next. The thought of ending up as a “package” like Walter sent chills down his spine. What terrified him even more was the possibility that Charlie might unleash a pack of African hyenas on him!
In desperation, John Garrett knelt behind the iron cage and pleaded, “Master Wade, please forgive us! We truly understand our mistakes. Have mercy and spare us!”
At that moment, Don Albert barked, “Shut your mouths! If you keep talking, I’ll tie you up and throw you into the starving dogfighting pit!” John Garrett trembled in fear, silenced instantly, just like the dogs before him.
Don Albert then addressed Charlie, saying, “Master Wade, please don’t mind them. These newcomers don’t grasp the rules yet. Allow me to train them for a few days, and they will become obedient and trustworthy.”
Charlie nodded, responding coolly, “These individuals have committed grave sins and hold no value. If they behave well, they may be spared as dogs. If not, they should be eliminated.”
Don Albert quickly affirmed, “Understood, Master Wade!”
John Garrett’s fear escalated upon hearing Charlie’s words. He realized he had lost all value to Charlie, especially since he had recorded a video exposing the crimes of the Banks Family under Charlie’s pressure. In this dire situation, there was a slim chance Charlie might show him mercy.
As Don Albert guided Charlie past John Garrett and the others, he pointed to a nearby iron cage and said, “Master Wade, Walter is in that cage.” Charlie followed his gesture, noticing a solitary hospital bed inside the cage along with various medical equipment.
Walter lay on the bed, looking extremely weak and swollen. Upon seeing Charlie approach, fear and loathing washed over him. After enduring so much torment, he felt as if he had descended into the depths of hell, leading to his deep-seated hatred for Charlie.
Charlie approached the iron cage and, with feigned concern, asked, “Mr. Walter, how have you been feeling these past few days? There’s nothing wrong with the treatment my subordinates are providing, is there?”
Walter, filled with rage, spat out, “Wade, you’re an absolute devil!”
Charlie replied with mild curiosity, “A devil, you say? I merely want you to experience the same treatment you once inflicted on others. Am I truly the devil here?”
With gritted teeth, Walter shouted, “You better let me go! Otherwise, the Hogwitz family will make you pay! The Rothschild family will come after you too! They will definitely come to Aurous Hill to kill you themselves!”
Charlie smiled slightly and said, “Your Hogwitz family is quite impressive. I heard that a man named Steve Hogwitz came all the way here to find you. Do you know him?”
