At this moment, the performance is taking place backstage.

In Stefanie Sun’s lounge, Zuri, with red-rimmed eyes, gently assisted her in removing the wedding dress. With a tremble in her voice, she expressed her concern: “Stefanie, I really don’t get it. You decided to wear a wedding dress at the concert, so why didn’t you mention Charlie’s name?”

Continuing, she added with a hint of frustration: “If it were up to me, I’d have made a bold move in front of tens of thousands of viewers, compelling him to marry! Once you’re in that wedding dress, just call out his name and bring him on stage. Right there, in front of everyone, I’d ask him when he’s going to honor his promise.”

Stefanie Sun gazed at her reflection in the mirror, carefully removing her sparkling diamond earrings, and replied with a smile: “You’ve been watching too many romantic dramas. Emotions and marriage shouldn’t be forced. Why should I use my influence to make him feel pressured? There have been plenty of cases in the entertainment industry where similar tactics led to divorce.”

After a pause, Stefanie Sun continued seriously: “Today marks the first time I’ve celebrated Charlie’s birthday in years. I didn’t want to use this moment to coerce him into marriage. My intention was to share my feelings with him personally on his birthday. I’ve already waited three years for him. If I call out his name now and demand to know when he’ll keep his promise, that would just be contradictory.”

Zuri, feeling downcast, replied: “But your confession was truly grand! You’re stepping away from the entertainment scene, and you’ve sacrificed so much for him. If you don’t nudge him a little, what if he has regrets later? What if he doesn’t fulfill his promise after three years?”

Stefanie Sun responded earnestly: “If he genuinely can’t keep his promise, then I won’t hold it against him.”

“What?!” Zuri exclaimed in disbelief. “Don’t blame him? Stefanie Sun, if Charlie doesn’t come through after three years, I will be the first to reject him! I’ll expose him online! How could he do that?”

Stefanie Sun quickly interjected: “Please don’t say that! Charlie’s family has been kind to ours. His father has helped us immensely, and he even saved my father’s life. With such deep gratitude, I will accept whatever decision Charlie makes.”

Zuri, fidgeting anxiously, said: “Stefanie Sun, how can you feel this way? Yes, he’s been good to your family, but what about your feelings for him? The video shown at the concert—didn’t it reflect the years you’ve silently supported him? Just because he saved your father doesn’t mean he can let you down after all this time!”

Impatiently, Stefanie Sun replied: “Alright, you’ve made your point! Please help me out of this wedding dress. I need to catch a flight soon.”

Zuri quickly inquired: “Are you leaving tonight?”

“Yes,” Stefanie Sun affirmed. “The concert is over, and I have no further obligations. You stay here to handle the aftermath with the executive team. I’m heading back to Eastcliff to prepare for the next concert.”

Zuri protested: “There’s no need to fly out so late! You should rest for the night and leave in the morning.”

With a hint of annoyance, Zuri added: “You confessed so passionately at the concert, yet Charlie took his wife home right after. Don’t you want to stay another day to see if he’ll give you an explanation?”

“No,” Stefanie Sun responded with a smile. “I’ve said enough. I just want Charlie to clearly understand my feelings for him, and that’s sufficient.”

“That’s why I didn’t include any frontal photos of him in the concert video. Even childhood photos were left out. I didn’t announce that today is his birthday, or that he was in attendance, because I don’t want anyone speculating about my Prince Charming, especially not his wife.”
