Despite the bustling crowd, Hannah's eyes were fixed solely on Caitlin. "Grandma!" Caitlin called back, waving as she quickened her pace.

Gordon stuck close behind her, a protective hand hovering near her back, ready to catch her if she stumbled. The airport terminal was packed, and with Caitlin in such a delicate condition, Gordon wished he could keep her tied to his side even when they slept.

He wasn't the only one. Stuart, Fortune, Keira, and Carey all had their attention focused entirely on Caitlin. She was, without a doubt, the family's most precious cargo.

Hannah wasn't the only one who had come to greet them; Jade Sinclair and Babette, her sisters-in-law, were there as well.

"Aunt Jade, Aunt Babette," Caitlin greeted them politely.

Gordon followed suit, echoing her greetings.

"Come, Freya, let us see you. Carrying triplets is certainly different from our time. You're already showing at just two and a half months," Jade said with a smile, linking her arm with Caitlin's.

Babette stared at Caitlin as if she were a rare panda. "I've never seen a natural triplet pregnancy before! Freya, you must be incredibly careful these first three months."

Hannah turned to Gordon. "Carrying one child is hard enough, but Freya is carrying three! Gordon, a pregnant woman's emotions can be unstable due to hormones, so if she gets a little temperamental, you need to be extra patient with her."

"Of course, Grandma. I know."

Ever since Caitlin had gotten pregnant, Gordon had enrolled in a parenting class for executives. He dedicated an hour every day to his lessons, determined to be the best new father he could be. He had also bought several books on pregnancy and childcare, and at this point, his knowledge probably rivaled that of experienced parents.

Chatting as they walked, the group made their way to the underground parking garage. When they arrived at the Richards family's estate, Caitlin was swarmed by her cousins and their spouses.

"Freya, let Elaine and me rub your belly for good luck! We're not asking for triplets, but we'd settle for twins!"

"Freya, look! Here are some gifts we got for the babies!"

"Freya, this is from me for the little ones..."

In no time, Caitlin was surrounded by a mountain of presents.

The Richardses had a very simple and direct way of showing affection: they gave gifts, money, and property.

As a result, Caitlin's three unborn babies, not even fully formed yet, were already millionaires several times over.

After dinner, Gordon drove Caitlin to

the Hayes family's residence.

Though their family was based in Silverhaven, they also owned property in Neon Spire since the wedding was being held here, the entire Hayes family had temporarily relocated three months prior.

With Celeste and Norris's wedding just two days away, the Hayes household was buzzing with excitement. The entrance was adorned with festive lights and garlands. The car pulled up to the front of the house.

Gordon got out first, walked around to the passenger side, opened the door, and extended his hand to Caitlin. "Catie, we're here."

"Okay," Caitlin said, taking his hand as she stepped out of the car.

After helping her out, Gordon said, "I'll head back now, Catie. Just text me when you're ready to come home."

He knew Caitlin and Celeste hadn't seen each other in ages and would have plenty

to catch up on. It was better if he didn't get in the way.

Caitlin nodded slightly. "Drive safe. I'll head inside."

"Wait a second," Gordon said.

"What is it?" Caitlin asked, turning back.

Gordon reached out and gently removed the small, fuzzy clip from her hair. "This one's a little crooked. Let me fix it for you."

Since becoming pregnant, besides a strange craving for bitter melon, Caitlin had developed a fondness for cute, fuzzy hair clips. She had bought a whole collection of them and would spend time admiring them at home, choosing a different one to wear each day.

Today, she wore a small pink strawberry clip that perfectly matched her pink and white dress. It. made her look less like an expectant mother and more like a highSchool

graduate, playful and adorable.
