"Call him now!"

Lillian pulled out her phone and made the call. A few minutes later, she hung up, her face grim. "Baber, my friend said it's really bad. He said we need to find a lawyer, now."

The Capital.

Keira learned about Marcia's arrest almost immediately.

She looked at Caitlin, her face etched with worry. "Freya, could Marcia really be connected to what happened back then?"

"It's not just Marcia," Caitlin said gently. "Grandma, you need to prepare yourself."

Keira's heart sank. Though Caitlin hadn't said it outright, she knew what her granddaughter was implying.

She took a sip of tea. "No, Freya. Your aunt had nothing to do with it. It can't be."

Amanda was her own daughter. And she had always been so close to Stuart. How could she possibly harm her own brother and his family?

*God, please,* she prayed. *Please let my son wake up soon.*

Only Stuart could prove his sister's innocence now.

Meanwhile, Amanda was watching television on her sofa when her phone rang.

She answered cheerfully. "Hello?"

A moment later, the voice on the other end spoke, and the color drained from her face. "What did you say?"

They had found out about Marcia's murder? How was that possible?

Amanda took a deep breath, forcing herself to stay calm. Her eyes narrowed. "Don't panic. She's not alone she has a son. She won't dare to sell us out. As long as Stuart dies, we'll be fine."

Marcia was smart. She knew what to do and what not to do.

Just as she hung up, the Gonzales family butler arrived. "Miss Amanda."

Amanda, still reeling, looked up at him. "Scales, what are you doing here?" "Miss Amanda, Miss Caitlin sent me to bring you and Miss Ann to the manor."

"Why does Freya want us over there?" Amanda asked, confused.

The butler explained, "Miss Caitlin said the master is expected to wake up today. She asked that you and Miss Ann be there so you can be the first to see him when he does."

*Waking up today?*

Amanda's lips curled into a silent, contemptuous sneer.

It wasn't that Stuart was waking up today. It was that he was dying today.

Caitlin was probably terrified of facing Keira alone after Stuart died, so she sent the butler to fetch them as backup.

A wave of euphoria washed over

her. After all these years, the day had finally come. She smiled warmly at Scales. "Thank God Stuart is finally waking up. I'll go get Ann right now. Please, wait here, Scales."
