"Yes," Caitlin confirmed.

Hannah sighed. "I remember he was so young. Not even thirty yet. How could such a young man feel so hopeless? Life is so unpredictable." To not fear death meant he must have been carrying an unbearable burden.

"I don't know the details," Caitlin said. "It was very sudden, so Dad and I have to fly back immediately. Grandma, it's late, so I won't disturb Uncle and the others."

"Of course, of course. You two go ahead," Hannah said, getting up and wrapping a robe around herself. "Have you contacted the pilot?"

The Richards family had a private jet, and as Warren had recently filed a flight plan for the week, it was ready for immediate departure.

"I've already spoken with Steward Lowell," Caitlin replied.

"Good."

Soon, Caitlin and Stuart were in a car heading to the airport, driven by Lee. As they got out, Lee handed Caitlin a large bag. "Miss Caitlin, thank you again for saving my wife's life. We brought these back from our hometown—just some local produce. It's not much."

"Please, you must take it."

Lee had taken his wife to the hospital for a check-up afterward. The doctors told him that if it hadn't been for Caitlin's quick thinking, his wife would have died. Even now, the memory sent a chill down his spine. His son was still unmarried and timid his wife was the pillar of their family. If she had been lost, their family would have fallen apart.

"Thank you, Lee," Caitlin said, accepting the bag with both hands. "You're

welcome to visit us in The Capital anytime."

Lee was surprised by her gesture. His wife had insisted he give Caitlin the produce, but he had been nervous, certain she would refuse. What would someone of her status want with simple farm goods? Yet, she had not only accepted it but had done so with both handspa sign of true respect When she spoke to him, her eyes held none of the arrogance he expected from the wealthy.

He was deeply touched. "Thank you, Miss Caitlin. If we get the chance, my wife and I will definitely visit." He then added, "Miss Caitlin, Mr. Stuart, I wish you a safe journey."

Since it was a private flight, they were able to depart as soon as they cleared security. Ten minutes later security. they were on the plane. It was now past one in the morning. Stuart handed Carlin a blanket Freya try to get some sleep. It's going to be a long few days when we get to The Capital."

"Okay, Dad," Caitlin nodded. "You get some rest too."
