A man his age couldn't afford a scandal, especially now that he was on the verge of becoming the CEO of Gonzales Holdings. He couldn't allow any leverage to fall into the wrong hands. Leo was a very cautious man.
Meanwhile, Caitlin and Gordon had walked with Monday to The Cozy Noodle Bowl.
The shop was tucked away in a bustling alley. At nine in the evening, it was packed with customers. The husband-and-wife owners were busy, and the air was thick with the enticing aroma of food, creating a warm and lively atmosphere. "Let's sit there," Caitlin suggested, pointing to a small table under a streetlight.
Although there were seats inside, they had Monday with them. He was a large dog, and even though he was gentle, his size could still intimidate some people.
"Sounds good." Gordon led Monday to the table and tied his leash to the lamppost.
Caitlin had already picked up the menu. "What kind of stew do you want?"
The "menu" was just a laminated sheet of paper listing the shop's specialty stews and fried skewers.
"I'll have the same as you," Gordon said as he took a can of dog food from a bag, opened it, and offered it to Monday.
One can wasn't enough. Gordon opened a second. He almost always brought treats for Monday when they met, which was a key reason Monday had accepted him as his dad.
Caitlin continued, "I'm getting The Ultimate Comfort Stew. You want that too?"
"Same for me," Gordon replied.
Caitlin went inside to place their order, adding some fried skewers as well.
When she returned, Gordon was walking back with a roast duck and two bottles of Coke.
"Where did you get the roast duck?" Caitlin asked curiously.
"There's a place right across the street," Gordon said, setting the Cokes of the table. He took the duck on
over to Monday. "Hey, buddy want some?"

Monday immediately sat down, looking up at Gordon with an eager "Woof woof woof!"
*Yes, yes!*
"Alright, shake hands with Dad," Gordon said, holding out his hand.
Caitlin laughed. "Don't waste your energy. Monday is a bit slow. I've tried to teach him that a dozen times, but he never learned."
She had tried to teach Monday to shake and do other tricks when he was a puppy, but he never seemed to get the hang of it, so she eventually gave up. As long as he was happy that was all that
mattered.
५
"Who says our Monday is slow? Oyk Monday is a genius," Gordon said, patting the dog's head. He held his handout again Come on, smart, boy shake hands with Dad.
Monday obediently lifted his paw and placed it in Gordon's hand.
"Good boy!" Gordon beamed like a proud father.
Monday lifted his chin proudly, glancing at Caitlin as if to say, *See? I'm not slow! I'm very smart!*
Gordon tore off a duck leg and tossed it to Monday, who caught it mid-air and devoured it in two bites.
"Now, show your mom how you spin," Gordon instructed.
Monday immediately began to spin in circles.
Caitlin was stunned.
"Monday! When did you learn so many tricks behind my back!"
