That was pure fantasy.
In Flossie's opinion, the Gonzales family had already done more than enough for the Somersets.
"They will! Of course, they will! Your father saved Keira's husband's life! Besides, the only reason that old hag from the Gonzales family has pushed us this far is because she wants us to be the first to bow our heads!"
Flossie looked at her mother, utterly exasperated. "Bow our heads? Forget bowing our heads. Even if you knelt at their doorstep right now, Keira probably wouldn't give you a second glance! You're being too naive. In any case, I don't have the nerve to go to the Gonzales family."
It was true that the Gonzales and Somerset families had once been close, especially when the two patriarchs were still alive. But favors fade like paper over time, and the Gonzales family had long since repaid their debt to the Somersets. In fact, without the Gonzales family's support, the Somersets would have been swallowed by the tides of time long ago. Yet, instead of being grateful, the Somersets had only grown more demanding.
Old Mrs. Somerset's idea was nothing short of delusional.
"Fine, fine! You won't go? I'll go myself!" Old Mrs. Somerset threw off the covers and sat up, furious. "The old saying is true! A daughter married is a daughter lost. Get out! Just get out! From this day on, you are no daughter of mine!"
"Fine, I'm leaving!" Flossie grabbed her bag, equally enraged. "Go ahead and spend the rest of your life with your precious son!"
Soon after, Old Mrs. Somerset arrived at the gates of the Gonzales estate.
In the past, she could come and go as she pleased. But today, she was stopped at the gate.
Old Mrs. Somerset looked at the security guard and sneered, "You dare to stop me? Do you know who I am?"
Although their last encounter had
been unpleasant, the history between the two families was undeniable. The only reason things had become so tense was that Keira was too proud to admit she was wrong. Keira had been waiting for her to make the first move! So, Old Mrs. Somerset was sure that if Keira knew she had come to offer an olive branch, Keira would be thrilled. Perhaps Keira had been wanting to reconcile with her and the Somerset family for a long time.
The guard replied, "I'm sorry, ma'am. Without an appointment, I don't care who you are. You'll have to wait outside."
*Screech-*
Just then, a luxury car pulled up to the gate of the Gonzales Manor. The door opened, and Keira stepped out.
Seeing her Old Mrs. Somerset narrowed her eyes and walked

Mundaking the initiative.Keira,
my dear sister-in-law."
After saying that one word, she simply stood there, looking at Keira, waiting for her to extend an
invitation into the house. Keira must be so excited right now she thought. After all, she'd been waiting along time for this day-the day she would finally come and make peace.
