Chapter 394:

John’s voice cut through, a playful tone in his words. He wanted Yelena to know that Austin had forgotten all about his friend the second he saw her.

Austin shot John a sharp look.

But John, undeterred, plopped himself down at the table like he owned the place. “So, what do you think? Which noodles are the best here?”

Tessa’s eyes grew wide again. What was going on today? So many good-looking guys around?

While John didn’t have that same striking charm as Austin, he still had his own appeal—his smile was warm and welcoming.

What Tessa didn’t know was that John had actually been a dangerous man on another level.

John was the kind of guy who seemed all smiles and harmless on the outside. But once a fight broke out, he turned into something else entirely—ruthless, merciless, and unstoppable. His opponents always ended up begging for mercy, realizing too late that they’d misjudged him.

Tessa, on the other hand, was practically floating on air. She was overwhelmed by happiness. It must be her lucky day today! There were two such handsome men right in front of her!

Suddenly, the noodles in her plate didn’t seem nearly as appetizing.

“Hey, Austin, what do you want? I’ll place the order for us,” John asked, breaking her daydream.

Austin didn’t even seem to notice. His attention was locked on Yelena, and it was clear he wasn’t interested in food at all. If John didn’t step in, it looked like they’d all go hungry.

He took a glance at Yelena’s plate and simply said, “I’ll have the same as hers.” Then, turning to Yelena, he added, “Is it good?”

John couldn’t help but roll his eyes inwardly. Clearly, Austin simply ordered that because of Yelena, instead of actually wanting it.

Yelena gave a small nod. “It’s good.”

She had been held up by him earlier, but luckily, the food was still warm when she finally got to it. The cool air around them made each bite even more satisfying. She realized she’d been a little too eager at first, rushing through her meal, but now she could savor it at her own pace.

After they finished eating, they stepped out into the cool air and ran right into Bella.

Bella’s eyes lit up at the sight of Austin and John, her excitement practically bubbling over.

She couldn’t help herself and bounced over to them. “Mr. Barton and Mr. Bowen! What a surprise running into you here!”

Neither Austin nor John was particularly fond of Bella, but because she was part of the Harris family, they both gave her a quick, indifferent nod out of courtesy.

Yet, Bella, full of energy, wasn’t done yet. She tried to say more, but before she could get another word out, Austin and John brushed past her, ignoring her completely. Bella’s anger flared. Her fingers curled into fists, nails digging into her palms so hard she almost drew blood. How dare they treat her like that? Was she someone who would willingly let herself be humiliated over and over again by these people?

Her teeth clenched. “Just wait,” she muttered under her breath. “You’ll regret this one day.”

John came to an abrupt halt and turned to look in Yelena’s direction.

At first, Bella thought his gaze was on her, and her mood brightened, but that joy quickly faded when she realized he had only passed over her and was now staring at Yelena. The realization made her blood boil, and she could feel her teeth grinding in frustration.

Unable to direct her anger toward Yelena, Bella shot a glare at Tessa instead. “You! Go get me a coffee!” she snapped.

Tessa, well aware of Bella’s identity as the CEO’s daughter and not daring to defy her, immediately dashed off before Yelena could even react.
