Chapter 530:
Casper, left standing there, gazed in disbelief through the privacy-tinted windows of her car, unable to see her. What frustrated Casper the most was Yelena’s attitude and her strength.
He had pressed the car door with considerable force, but Yelena seemed to push his hand away easily.
“Sir, is there a problem here?” Since they were right outside the school, a security guard had noticed the altercation and approached, eyeing Casper with suspicion.
Humiliated by the guard’s assumption that he was causing trouble, Casper had no choice but to walk away, his self-respect wounded.
Inside the car, Yelena texted Austin, saying, “Thank you.” She knew he had arranged for the security guard’s timely intervention.
Austin was surprised that Yelena was so smart to figure it out.
He replied, “You’re welcome.”
As Yelena set her phone aside, she pondered Casper’s unexpected appearance. He had been living in another city for years. What brought him back now?
Dismissing the swirling thoughts about her estranged relatives, Yelena resolved not to dwell on the situation any further. The Roberts family was no longer a part of her life, after all. Should Casper continue to seek her out, his motives would surely come to light in time.
Upon arriving at the company, Yelena noticed the bustling activity; it seemed no one had expected her today. Seated at her desk, she turned on her computer, poised to dive into her workload.
At that moment, Lynn emerged from her office, clapping sharply to capture everyone’s attention. “Hold up, everyone.”
The room fell silent, all eyes on Lynn.
With a slight smile, Lynn said, “Guess what? We’ve got another chance to impress Miss Frieda Morphew. She’s not quite happy with our last design and wants us to take another shot at it.”

Groans filled the room as the team’s spirits sank at the mention of redoing work for Frieda.
“That woman is notoriously difficult,” one of the designers muttered. “Nothing’s ever perfect for her—wrong patterns, off colors. We tailor our work according to her ideas, only for her to circle back to preferring the original draft. It’s an endless, thankless cycle.”
“Truly, I’d take ten other clients over her any day,” another designer said emphatically.
A collective groan of frustration echoed through the room; none were eager to tackle such a demanding client. Observing their dismay, Lynn knew this cycle couldn’t continue.
Her own patience with Frieda was wearing thin, given her unpredictable and escalating demands. Frieda had been off the radar for a while, leaving Lynn hopeful she’d moved on. Yet here she was, freshly returned from a business trip, ready to stir things up again.
Facing Frieda was the last thing Lynn wanted. Her plan?
Let her team handle the headache. After all, if the outcomes were less than perfect, Lynn could point the finger at her team, not herself.
“If the client is complaining, it’s because your designs aren’t hitting the mark. Get them right, and she’ll back off.”
Yelena, despite being new to the firm, quickly noticed the design team’s reluctance to innovate. Their old-school approach was why Frieda kept pushing them, or so she thought.
“How can you say that, Yelena? You’re ignoring all our efforts,” Bella interjected, her words igniting a firestorm of agreement. Bella was right.
Despite their best creative efforts, Frieda remained unimpressed. Surely the fault wasn’t theirs alone, right? Yelena’s stance simply seemed overly critical to them.
Yelena had no qualms about shattering her colleagues’ illusions, grounding their arrogance with a sharp dose of reality.
