Chapter 630:

Yelena’s lips curled into a subtle smile as she replied, “No problem.”

The car glided to a stop at the venue, and as Yelena stepped out, all eyes turned toward her.

Yelena walked gracefully into the party hall, her every step filled with confidence. Upon spotting Yelena, Amanda wore a slight frown, a flicker of displeasure crossing her face.

Today was supposed to be her day! She had painstakingly chosen her outfit, ensuring every detail was perfect, yet Yelena had stolen the show the moment she showed up!

This was just so annoying!

Yelena extended a gift toward Amanda, about to say something, but Amanda shot her a dismissive look and rolled her eyes. Without even glancing at the gift, she said curtly, “Just set it down over there.”

Yelena remained in place, undeterred, and said, “This is from…”

“Enough! Can’t you take a hint?” Amanda cut Yelena off sharply, snatching the bag from her hands. Without a second glance, she tossed it aside, letting it fall carelessly to the floor.

Yelena’s ears caught the faint yet unmistakable sound of glass shattering from within the gift bag as it hit the floor.

“Looks like something broke,” someone remarked softly to Amanda.

Yelena also didn’t look too pleased.

Although startled by the sound of the gift breaking, Amanda quickly shifted the blame in her mind. If Yelena had brought something fragile, why didn’t she mention it?

Amanda was convinced that Yelena had done it on purpose! In any case, the broken gift had nothing to do with her!

Yelena frowned, walked over, and picked up the bag. Opening it carefully, she revealed a shattered ceramic mug inside.

“Ha, I thought it might be something special, but it’s just a mug,” Amanda sneered, her eyes filled with disdain. “You really stand out with your rustic ways—gifting me a mug on my birthday.”

The onlookers couldn’t help but giggle under their breaths.

Yelena’s gift was indeed too cheap. No wonder Amanda was being so cold to her.

Yelena looked at the mug, shattered beyond repair. Even if it could be fixed, it would only be for display, not use.

Yelena felt a pang of regret as she looked at the broken mug. Though it appeared simple, it was something she had crafted with her own hands.

“This is an early piece by the renowned ceramic master Z—priceless and nearly impossible to obtain,” Yelena said calmly, her voice steady despite the tension. She paused briefly before adding, “And for the record, this isn’t my gift. It’s from Austin. I was merely delivering it on his behalf.”

Yelena silently mused on how she would never have chosen to give Amanda a gift—especially not something as valuable as this.

Amanda froze, her expression shifting between shock and disbelief. “That’s impossible!” she exclaimed. “You must be lying! If Austin wanted to give me a gift, why wouldn’t he deliver it himself?”

The murmurs around them grew louder as the guests exchanged skeptical glances. Many shared Amanda’s sentiment—if Austin truly wanted to gift Amanda something, he would have done so personally. Why entrust Yelena with such an important task?

And if the mug was truly an early piece by the ceramic master Z, then it must have been worth a fortune.

Amanda couldn’t help but feel a pang of regret, hoping Yelena was just lying. But what if she was telling the truth? Had Amanda just ruined a priceless treasure?

“Yelena seems to be telling the truth,” a curious onlooker said thoughtfully. “I own a piece by the ceramic master. Her works usually bear a distinctive signature on the bottom—unique and elegant, nearly impossible to imitate. Plus, the firing date is always marked on her pieces. We can just check online to verify its authenticity.”

Prompted by the suggestion, someone quickly took out their phone and searched online. To their surprise, it was real!
