Chapter 773:
Yelena was trying to break the window, but holding onto another, her feet suspended outside, she couldn’t leverage herself properly. She needed to shift her position.
Then, her hand slipped abruptly, nearly causing her to fall.
Fortunately, Yelena’s quick reflexes prevented a fall. The slip startled her, sending a numb sensation across her scalp.
At that moment, Yelena spotted someone walking in.
She couldn’t help but think that she and the woman had been lucky that day.
As the figure approached, Yelena recognized him as John.
John was about to use the restroom when he heard a disturbance at the window. Pausing mid-zip, John looked towards the noise and saw Yelena banging on the glass, seemingly trying to communicate something urgent.
John was so stunned that he completely forgot he needed to pee.
He called out, “Austin! Come in here!”
After summoning Austin, John quickly scaled up to assist in opening the window.
Outside, Austin heard John’s shaky voice and thought he was in trouble, so he hurried in. That was when he saw Yelena scrambling through the window and John extending his hand to help her. Austin shouted, “Close your eyes, you fool!”
Yelena was climbing in headfirst, and the skin beneath her strapless gown was slightly exposed.
Austin was protective, warning John against even a fleeting glance, ready to defend Yelena’s dignity.

John said, “I’ve got my eyes shut the whole time!”
John respected the fact that Austin cared deeply for Yelena, and he wasn’t about to cause trouble.
Upon hearing this, Austin raced over. Together with John, they helped Yelena through the window.
Once Yelena was securely inside, Austin quickly covered her with his jacket.
Austin then asked, “Why did you have to climb in from there? What happened?”
Yelena rushed out, quickly explaining the situation as she moved.
The paths to the women’s and men’s restrooms diverged, leading in opposite directions. The area was quiet, with hardly anyone around to hear Yelena’s earlier cries for help.
Upon reaching the women’s restroom, Yelena discovered why her calls had gone unanswered. An “Under Maintenance” sign was placed along the path leading to the restroom, evidently to deter people from entering. Typically, people would turn back upon seeing such a sign.
Yelena, who possessed a sharp memory, was sure the sign hadn’t been there earlier. Had it been, she wouldn’t have attempted to use that restroom.
Yelena was pretty sure the sign had been placed there after she entered. This meant the restroom door had been locked on purpose, not by accident.
Yelena and Austin teamed up and managed to open the restroom door, only to find that the woman inside had already fainted. Yelena noticed her pulse growing weaker, and worry quickly took over. Thankfully, John, although usually not the most serious, was prompt in emergencies. He had fetched a doctor as Yelena had instructed.
