Chapter 800:

But Donna, aware of her delicate health, knew she couldn’t join him in such physically demanding activities.

She encouraged him gently, “Go ahead and dive. I’ll be fine waiting here.”

Callum shook his head firmly, “I can’t just leave you alone here.”

Touched by his thoughtfulness, Donna felt her affection for him deepen.

They settled into beach chairs and began chatting, the soothing sound of waves and the peaceful atmosphere easing them both into a comfortable sleep.

Out of nowhere, Callum felt the gentle weight of a blanket being placed over him. Without looking, he instinctively reached for the hand beside him and whispered, “Honey, thank you.”

But something felt off—the hand didn’t have the familiar warmth he knew so well as Donna’s.

His eyes snapped open, and to his surprise, he saw Dina standing next to him.

As Callum quickly pulled his hand back, his expression shifted into a mix of confusion and irritation. “What are you doing here?”

Dina, dressed in a bikini that radiated youthful energy despite her role as a mother of two, looked slightly startled as she explained, “I’m sorry. I noticed you both sleeping and thought the wind might be too cold, so…”

Callum’s eyes darted to Donna, who was also covered with a blanket.

Embarrassment washed over him as he realized his mistake.

“Sorry,” Callum said, his tone softer now.

Dina gave him a forgiving smile. “It’s fine, really. No harm done,” she replied.

Callum nodded but added firmly, “Even so, there’s no need to worry about us next time. We can take care of ourselves.”

Dina nodded hesitantly, her gaze dropping as if feeling slightly ashamed.

Meanwhile, Donna stirred at the sound of their voices, her eyes fluttering open as she asked, “What’s going on?”

Callum shot Dina a quick, warning glance before turning to Donna with a gentle expression.

“Nothing much. Are you hungry? Want to grab something to eat?” Callum asked softly.

Donna smiled. “Actually, now that you mention it, I am a bit hungry.” As they stood, Callum naturally took Donna’s hand.

Dina, watching the interaction, felt a brief pang of envy flash across her face.

Noticing Dina’s gaze, Donna asked curiously, “Dina, why are you here?” Dina hesitated under Callum’s watchful glance but eventually said, “I was just passing by and saw you two. I didn’t realize you were asleep until I got closer. I hope I didn’t disturb you.”

Donna reassured her. “No worries at all. Have you eaten yet? Why don’t you join us?”

Donna added, “By the way, where are Kaiden and Amilia? I haven’t seen them.”

Dina’s expression shifted briefly as she answered, “Kaiden put Amilia down for her nap. She usually naps around this time.”

“That’s a good habit,” Donna replied warmly. “If you haven’t eaten, please, come eat with us.”

Callum interjected, “She might need to stay back to look after Amilia.”
