Chapter 1013:
A playful curve of her lips accompanied a gentle flick of her tongue across the spot she had just nibbled.
“Mmm…” A low, muffled sound slipped past Brad’s clenched teeth, a shiver of suppressed desire escaping into the charged air.
Instantly, his eyes darkened, smoldering with a heat that threatened to consume them both.
With a swift, decisive movement, he curved his hands around her narrow waist, pulling her flush against him so that every line and contour of their bodies pressed together in perfect alignment.
He lowered his head, pressing his forehead to hers, their noses brushing lightly, and their breaths mingled, warm and shallow. “Rylie,” he murmured, his voice rough and husky, threaded with danger and the raw tension of desire stretched to its breaking point, “you know I cannot resist you.”
In the party parking lot, exposed to anyone who might pass by at any moment, Rylie teased him with fearless, audacious playfulness.

Rylie lifted her gaze to his face, noting the tension carved into his features and the raw desire flickering in his dark eyes, her own sparkling with mischievous satisfaction.
She lingered on the sight of him wrestling with control, relishing the rare thrill of toppling the calm, distant pedestal he usually occupied.
“Not enjoying this?” she asked deliberately, her breath uneven, betraying the same heat she provoked in him.
Brad’s gaze bore into hers, deep and intense, his teeth nearly clenched. “I love it so much it’s driving me insane.”
Before she could deliver another teasing word, he leaned down, capturing her lips in a firm, possessive kiss, her playful smile pressed against his with defiant provocation.
The Christmas snow swirled more insistently around them, fluffy flakes landing on their faces and threading through their hair, only to dissolve instantly under the heat of their fervent kiss.
Rylie’s knees gave way beneath the sudden intensity. She wrapped her arms around his broad shoulders, surrendering wholly to the unexpected storm, a soft, trembling whimper escaping her parted lips.
The sound tugged at the last vestiges of Brad’s rationality. He couldn’t tolerate the thought of anyone witnessing her in this vulnerable, intoxicating state. With a reluctant breath, he broke the kiss, though his arm still held her firmly, their chests rising and falling in perfect unison.
His gaze lingered on her swollen, glistening lips and the dazed clarity of her eyes, watching the steady rise and fall of his Adam’s apple as he struggled to regain composure.
“Now,” he murmured, his voice hoarse and thick with residual desire, edged with resolute determination, “let’s go to the airport right away.”
Half-carrying, half-guiding her, he eased Rylie into the passenger seat, moving quickly but with deliberate care to secure her seatbelt.
Closing the door with a deliberate click, he slid behind the wheel and ignited the engine. The SUV growled awake, its throaty rumble echoing the rapid pulse of his heart as it surged toward the private airstrip.
Beyond the glass, the landscape dissolved into streaks of light, rushing past in a blur as the vehicle carved its path through the night.
