Chapter 1021:
In the same heartbeat, Rylie’s world burst open into white-hot sensation, her body trembling uncontrollably as heat rolled outward from her center, flooding every limb.
Her head tipped back, a long, shuddering breath slipping free as the last tremors of satisfaction eased through her. When it was finally over, only the sound of their breathing remained, uneven and tangled, filling every corner of the tent.
Brad didn’t pull away. He stayed close, reluctant to lose the warmth that tethered him to her presence. He drew her closer, pressing a soft nuzzle into her damp neck, as if steadying his own heartbeat against her skin.
Rylie didn’t speak, but the faint tremors still fluttering through her told him everything about the intensity she was recovering from.

It was a long while before his breath steadied, and a slow heat stirred in him again. He glanced toward the pale morning light spilling into the tent and gently eased back, moving with care to avoid startling her.
He slipped off and discarded the condom before grabbing a small box and a pack of wipes to tend to her.
Rylie was too drained to lift her head, until she felt Brad’s finger slide inside her. She startled, breath catching, her voice scratchy. “Brad?”
“It’s just ointment,” he explained, holding the small bottle up so she could see it. His voice was still husky. “We went a little hard. There’s some redness. This should help you recover quickly.”
Rylie blinked, taken aback. “You came prepared for this?” A flicker of suspicion crept in, maybe he wasn’t as inexperienced as she’d assumed.
“I asked my subordinates to pick up some supplies,” Brad said honestly. “They recommended this. I, uh… gave them my size, and they said I’d need the extra-large option. Apparently not many women handle that well.”
Rylie stared at him, momentarily speechless, heat rushing to her cheeks.
Brad finished tending to her, cleaned his hands, and settled down beside her again. He pulled her gently into his arms and reached for a soft blanket, draping it over them with the same care he’d shown all night.
Rylie collapsed against him, drained and pliant, melting into the warmth of his chest. Each steady beat of his heart against her cheek smoothed out the lingering tremors inside her.
Brad dipped his head and brushed a kiss across her hair, his voice roughened by both passion and tenderness. “Did it hurt?”
Had it not been for the soft glow filtering from inside the tent, Brad might have missed the faint redness where her thighs had rubbed together.
His voice was low and unassuming as he explained, “I’m still learning. I might have been a bit rough at first, but I adjusted quickly.”
Rylie rested her head against him, exhaustion mingling with satisfaction in her tone. “It’s really nothing to worry about. I’m just feeling a bit drained.”
Brad let out a gentle laugh, the sound vibrating warmly through his chest. He pulled her closer, wrapping his arms more securely around her.
After a brief pause, his voice dropped to a tender whisper. “We still have two more days here together.”
