Chapter 1061:

The investigation revealed ancient burial sites far below both plots, believed to be the tombs of Emperor Valerius the Conqueror. The chambers were saturated with large amounts of mercury and dangerous gases, making them impossible to excavate fully or safely with the technology currently available. In the meantime, protective measures were established, awaiting future technological advancements that might permit further study.

But no one expected the sudden turn events were about to take.

During the final land auction, Rylie instructed the Kirks to acquire the plot adjacent to Echo Valley, which had yet to be developed. Although it was farther from the valley proper, its larger size made it ideal for the Terra Games venue.

When government officials later visited the Kirks’ small company, Leland, the current head of the family, was so overwhelmed with excitement that he nearly lost his footing and had to be steadied by his assistant.

He was overcome with emotion, his voice trembling as he asked, “Are you saying the project will actually be built on our land?”

“Yes, that’s correct,” the official confirmed, his tone steady. “Assuming you have no objections and our final survey aligns with preliminary findings, the main Terra Games venue will be constructed on your property. We’ll send the contract and detailed specifications via email for your review.”

Once the guests departed, the adrenaline faded, and Leland slumped into his chair, feeling utterly drained.

His assistant, however, was buzzing with excitement. “This is incredible! Our land value is about to skyrocket! We’re going to make a fortune, Mr. Kirk!”

The Kirks’ financial stability had long depended on Rylie, whose support had sustained them. Now, with the Terra Games venue secured, the family was poised to reclaim its former prominence.

Leland stared at the email notification glowing on his screen, murmuring, “All these years, we’ve relied on Rylie. Everything we have is because of her.”

Noticing the distant look in Leland’s eyes, his assistant realized the man was quietly regretting having driven Rylie away.

Just as Rylie’s private jet touched down in Ostium, Dennis from the Royal Academy of Arts learned of her arrival.

He didn’t hesitate and called her immediately. After a brief exchange, he teased her with playful jealousy. “I sent that invitation months ago, and you’re only just arriving! If it weren’t for your studies, I doubt you’d have come at all. Have you completely forgotten about me?”

“Of course I haven’t forgotten you,” Rylie said with a grin, lifting the small bag she carried. “I brought some special herbal tea blends I prepared.” Her eyes sparkled. “They’re good for well-being. I made them just for you—even my grandfather hasn’t tried them yet, so you get to be the first.”

Dennis didn’t hide his delight, breaking into a wide smile. “I recently came across an ancient musical score in my collection, but it’s in poor condition. Even our best conservators haven’t been able to fully restore it. We’ve posted a printed enlargement on the bulletin board to see if any students have ideas. Rylie, would you be willing to take a look?” He added with a knowing smile, “You are the renowned musician and X. Aria’s protégé, after all. You might see something others have missed.”

“All right, I’ll come take a look,” Rylie replied.
