Chapter 1073:

Letty’s breathing grew uneven as her eyes drifted back toward Rylie. It was Rylie who had driven her overseas in the first place, leaving her no choice but to keep studying here. And it wasn’t just Connor, the S-tier star, who resented her. If he truly had the influence to send her directly to Evergreen, then his family was clearly no ordinary one—likely part of Ostium’s old-money elite. If not, why else would all these students be falling over themselves to flatter him?

Back in Eshea, Rylie could parade her status as the richest man’s granddaughter and expect everyone to bow. But here, in Ostium, that arrogance meant nothing and commanded no respect at all.

Letty moved without hesitation, planting herself squarely in front of the entrance. When she spoke, her voice carried the practiced authority of someone used to giving orders.

“I noticed every bit of your behavior yesterday—hanging around the notice board, spreading false claims, and confusing visitors. Connor showed you more patience than you deserved and tried to resolve this quietly. You dismissed him, and now you’ve decided to bring the same chaos here. Leave, right now. This isn’t a place for sightseeing or meddling. You are standing at the site of the academy’s most critical evaluation. Access is restricted, and interference from outsiders will not be tolerated under any circumstances.”

Letty gestured at the watching crowd, her expression hardening. “You’ve drawn unnecessary attention and disrupted a focused event. Leave now, or security will be called and an incident report filed—one that could permanently bar you from this academy.”

Connor leaned back slightly, a self-satisfied grin on his face, arms folded as though he were watching a scene of his own making.

His friends laughed cruelly alongside him. “Did you hear that? Letty actually told you to leave! She should stop making a fool of herself. Sneaking into a restricted evaluation area is pathetic!”

The murmurs swelled through the crowd. Spectators cast glances at Rylie—some sympathetic, others scornful—convinced she had no idea of the rules and had willingly stepped into a trap.

But Rylie’s quiet, derisive snort, paired with her unwavering stride toward the heavy hall doors, struck Connor and his clique as a brazen act of rebellion.

Before anyone could intervene, she pushed the grand doors open and slipped inside, leaving a stunned silence in her wake.

“She went in?” Connor’s smug confidence crumbled instantly, replaced by a mix of fury and dark excitement. “How could she be so reckless?”

Letty stood paralyzed for a moment, then her shock erupted into pure rage and mortification at being defied. “Unbelievable! Security—get in here now!”

Her scream cut through the hall as she stormed past the onlookers, abandoning every trace of decorum. Connor and his group surged behind her, curiosity and anticipation gleaming in their eyes, hungry to witness the chaos Rylie had dared to unleash in the revered evaluation chamber.

As the main lights dimmed, a gentle glow settled over the stage and the judges’ table.

One by one, students took their seats, and the low murmur of voices slowly brought the hall to life. Dennis, Melody, and several other prominent professors were already in place at the judges’ table, speaking in hushed tones as they waited for the evaluation to begin.

A sudden stir near the entrance pulled everyone’s attention when Rylie walked in.

With a composed expression, she moved steadily along the side aisle, her steps firm as she headed straight toward the raised judges’ platform.
