Chapter 1145:

Dominic nodded thoughtfully. “I’m familiar with this case. If I remember correctly, it was the N79 compound developed by Aetheris Pharmacy that neutralized the toxin and allowed him to function normally, wasn’t it?”

Rylie confirmed with a nod. “Yes. Once Snow Mint was identified, the core issue was resolved. What remains is the clinical testing stage. I’d like you to oversee the trials. My team will assist fully, and once the data is validated, we’ll proceed with Brad’s treatment.”

Dominic looked at her with undisguised respect, shaking his head slightly. “You’ve accomplished more at your age than I managed in decades of work. It’s remarkable. Your generation truly is impressive.”

Rylie offered a faint smile. “Then the rest is in your hands.”

“Leave it to me,” Dominic replied, his eyes bright with barely concealed enthusiasm for the research ahead.

Once all laboratory matters were properly arranged, Rylie made her way back to the villa.

Deandre was in the middle of a meeting with the Costa Syndicate’s key figures, with Lochlan among them. When Lochlan noticed Rylie passing outside the window, he abruptly cut in. “Why not ask for the opinion of our famous Healing Hand?”

Deandre, seeing that his sister had returned, spoke reflexively. “She prefers to avoid risky situations.” The instant the words left his mouth, several veterans who had survived the recent conflicts broke into laughter.

Deandre shot them an icy glare. One man merely shrugged, making little effort to restrain his amusement. “Sir, you keep insisting your sister is gentle, but I personally saw her break a grown man’s neck with her bare hands. No hesitation. No mercy. At some point, you’ll have to accept the truth — she isn’t gentle. She’s dangerous.”

“Dangerous?” Rylie’s voice drifted in from the doorway. She leaned against the wall with her arms folded, a faint, amused smile playing at the corners of her lips. “Who exactly are you referring to?”

Lochlan smoothly changed the subject and extended an invitation. “We’re in the middle of a discussion. Would you like to sit in? It concerns the Mista Dunkadelic.”

Deandre immediately intervened. “If you’re exhausted, you can rest in your room or go check on Brad. He mentioned earlier that he wanted to see you.”

Rylie ignored the suggestion, walked over to an empty chair, and sat down without ceremony. “It’s alright. I’ve just wrapped up my work and have time. Go ahead — explain the situation.”

She had no real desire to interfere in Deandre’s business. She was only here because Melany’s request had come to mind — and if memory served, that woman was a traitor within the Mista Dunkadelic.

Seeing her settled in, Deandre reluctantly gestured for the person beside him to outline the plan again from the beginning.

After listening to the overview, Rylie spoke evenly. “I understand. You want to leverage Karina’s identity to secure the Mista Dunkadelic’s ledger. But at the moment, she’s unstable — like a ticking bomb. They won’t blindly trust any information she offers. She’ll need to fully restore their confidence and return to the core circle of the organization. Only then will she have a chance to access the ledger.”
