Chapter 1152:
“You’ve done remarkably well, Karina,” said the elder seated at the head of the table. “Your contribution won’t go unrewarded. They’re importing rocket launchers and advanced submachine guns from VS — top-tier contraband. Prepare the men. We’re setting up an ambush.”
Watching the members of the Mista Dunkadelic brim with excitement, Karina kept a smile on her lips that held no real warmth. Resting lightly against Henson’s chest, she spoke in a low, measured tone. “I’ve already proven my value. Does that mean I can return to my rightful position now?”
It was clear what she wanted — she longed to reclaim control over finances and budgeting, the authority she had once wielded with confidence. But that responsibility had already been handed to the woman who now held Henson’s attention. He answered with deliberate vagueness, offering a soft smile. “When things calm down a little, my dear.”
A brief, icy glint flashed through Karina’s eyes before she masked it again.
Knowing she would be sidelined amid the current chaos, she quietly made her way toward the syndicate’s territory. She had intended to find Deandre — but instead caught sight of him pressing that girl against the window, kissing her deeply, his eyes filled with unmistakable desire.
Karina remained frozen in place, her stare sharp, emotionless, and unwavering.
In this brutal world, she had already lost the family that mattered most, and now she balanced on a fragile edge, one step away from collapse. She had once believed her looks and status were enough to secure Deandre’s loyalty — yet she herself had fallen prey to his charm, losing her heart without even realizing it.
And still, the person he chose was a girl with no power, no protection, and no standing at all. It felt painfully ridiculous.
“It’s a lovely night,” Rylie remarked as she emerged from the darkness, pushing Brad forward. Karina spun around, startled.
Under the pale moonlight, Karina’s eyes landed first on Brad — the man seated in the wheelchair, his sharp, striking features carrying an intensity that rivaled even Deandre’s. Brad’s face hardened slightly, clearly displeased by the sudden interruption of their quiet moment.
Then, in a calm and almost casual tone, Karina spoke. “How about we make a deal? Deandre can be yours.”

Karina squinted at her suspiciously. “You’re actually planning to help me?”
“I’m offering you an opportunity,” Rylie replied calmly. “What you make of it is your decision.”
Karina hesitated, then asked, “What’s the catch?”
“Nothing at all,” Rylie said lightly. “I’m only doing this because of Melany.”
Karina paused, temptation warring inside her. In the end, greed won out. “Those weapons must be worth hundreds of millions,” she said slowly. “And you actually stored them in glass. If even one is fake, it’ll be obvious immediately.”
Rylie answered with an easy, confident smile. “Never underestimate Eshea products — especially our blast-reinforced glass. If anyone could crack VS’s containers, my name wouldn’t carry much weight.”
That very night, the Mista Dunkadelic stormed the docks and seized the Costa Syndicate’s weapons. The gang erupted in celebration, eyes gleaming as they admired the arsenal sealed inside clear glass cases.
Karina remained on the sidelines, uncertainty flickering across her gaze.
