Chapter 250:
“Alright, that’s all for today’s HaloFlow Pharmacy live stream. If you have more questions, feel free to visit us in person. Dr. Selah Hobbes is even more skilled than I am. We’ll pick three more viewers tomorrow for free consultations. See you then.”
Just as she was about to end the stream, the animation effect of a spectacular Black Gold Dragon lit up the screen with a cosmic theme.
A viewer commented, “Oh my gosh! What did I just see? Black Gold Dragon?”
“Ahhh! It’s really him!” commented another viewer.
Seconds later, the HaloFlow stream abruptly went black.
Rylie caught the dramatic effect but didn’t let it distract her. She closed the stream without missing a beat.
After the meeting, Brad relaxed on the sofa, his legs stretched out. With one hand, he loosened his collar; with the other, he scrolled through his phone, checking messages.
His military uniform gave him a rugged edge that the suit didn’t.
Brock, standing nearby, had seen the entire stream. He spoke up. “Dr. Owen probably didn’t notice you joined the stream.”
Brad slowly looked up, his eyes dark with stormy emotion.
Brock stepped back slightly. “If you want to tip her in the live stream, you can wait until tomorrow.”
Brad finally slipped his phone into his pocket. “Did they dig up anything else on Ronan?”
Brock nodded and called someone over for a report.
Inside HaloFlow Pharmacy, Rylie discovered that her social media account had gained 100,000 followers overnight. The live stream had pushed her to the top of the rookie ranking chart. The numbers alone pleased her, but a look at the revenue made her even more content.
With the Wilde family dragging Selah’s name through the mud, Rylie could use the internet to win back every ounce of respect Selah had lost.

She helped the staff pack up the streaming equipment and waved over a pharmacist. “Post a job notice tonight. We need more doctors here at HaloFlow Pharmacy. We can’t keep up with this workload as it is. Send me all the resumes. I’ll decide who’s qualified.”
The pharmacist nodded but looked uneasy. “But…”
Rylie caught his hesitation. “Go on. If there’s a problem, we solve it.”
He sighed and said, “We’ve been borrowing medicine and equipment from Aethens Pharmacy, but it can’t go on like this. With the growing number of patients, HaloFlow is far too small. We need a larger and more professional space.”
Rylie gave a small smile. “I’ve already been thinking about that.”
His eyes brightened. “Can we move to a new place?”
“Not yet,” she said. “Once the Wilde family crumbles and VitaLink Hospital is taken over by the government, I’ll buy it when it goes up for auction.”
VitaLink Hospital wasn’t well-run, but its equipment was new and reliable. If Rylie could acquire it for HaloFlow Pharmacy and take down the Wilde family’s sign, Selah would have been proud.
When the Wilde family fell under government investigation, Evita, Yosef, and Timothy were all sentenced. The other branches cut ties in fear. Only Marsha was bailed out.
