Chapter 352:
Meanwhile, Rylie and Melany headed to the office.
When the class advisor, Gorman Robertson, saw them, he paused. “Are you Melany’s sister?”
“Yes,” Rylie said as she sat, her tone calm. “Did something happen?”
Gorman blinked, caught off guard by her composure. He spoke quickly. “Melany’s been caught up in theft and a fight. She won’t apologize to the injured classmate. The school is considering expulsion.”
“I didn’t do it!” Melany cried out, her eyes filled with tears. “I’ve said it a thousand times — I don’t know how that necklace ended up in my pencil case! But none of you believe me! Just because there are more of them… and because Zaylee is supported by the Morgan family… you all side with her!”
Gorman frowned. “Why would Zaylee accuse you for no reason? That necklace is so precious. It’s her most cherished item. Why would she risk it just to hurt you?”
Rylie didn’t flinch. Instead, she let out a soft laugh, her eyes turning ice cold.
She said slowly, “That’s an interesting way to look at it, Mr. Robertson. So, because Zaylee has a rich background, she couldn’t possibly lie? Does that mean all wealthy kids are honest by nature, and anyone from a regular family must be guilty?”
Gorman hesitated. “That’s not what I—”
Rylie demanded, “Then what did you mean? Because of her connection to the Morgan family, everything she says is taken as fact? While Melany’s voice doesn’t matter at all?”
Gorman’s expression changed slightly, and his tone grew firm. “Please don’t get the wrong idea. The fact is, the necklace was indeed found in Melany’s pencil case, and Zaylee’s classmates all testified they saw her steal it!”
Rylie raised a brow. “Oh? Which classmates, exactly? Did any of them explain when or how it happened? Or did they all just say, ‘She stole it,’ and you believed it?”

Gorman’s mouth opened, but no words came out. His face darkened.
Rylie leaned forward slightly. “You’re a teacher, Mr. Robertson. You should know — words without proof mean nothing. If all you have is hearsay with no evidence, then this ‘truth’ is nothing more than a group lie.”
Gorman finally snapped, “But the necklace was in her pencil case! How should she explain that?”
Rylie let out a cold chuckle. “Then tell me — where does Melany usually keep her pencil case? Is it locked? If someone slipped it in while she wasn’t around, isn’t that possible too?”
Gorman froze, clearly blindsided by the suggestion.
Before he could recover, Rylie pressed on. “And another thing — you said this necklace is worth hundreds of thousands, Zaylee’s most prized possession. Do you really think she’d just take it off like it’s nothing? If it’s that valuable, why would she let anyone else handle it so casually? And how exactly does something like that ‘accidentally’ end up in someone else’s pencil case?”
A sheen of sweat formed on Gorman’s forehead, and his once-firm voice faltered. “Well… Zaylee said she left it in her desk.”
