Chapter 481:

After placing several needles to suppress the effects of the toxin, Rylie slowly pulled her hands back and stated, “He’ll stay stable until the ambulance gets here. Bring him in for immediate surgery. If the operation is a success, his throat will remain unharmed.”

The crew quickly moved to lift Vincent and carry him out. Just as Rylie’s fingers accidentally skimmed across his exposed chest, she noticed something unusual in his heartbeat, resembling the warning signs of cardiac distress. But without the proper tools to confirm it, she could only speak up as he was being taken away, adding, “There’s something abnormal with his heart as well. I recommend they run tests once he reaches the hospital.”

Unfortunately, the surrounding commotion was too intense for anyone to register what she was saying.

With the venue still packed with distressed fans refusing to disperse, the staff were forced to divide into two teams and stage a diversion, managing to transport Vincent to the hospital without drawing attention.

The closest well-equipped hospital near the Nova Sports Pavilion was the recently launched HaloFlow Hospital.

Seeing no reason to stay any longer, Rylie exited through the rear entrance. By the time the staff noticed her absence and attempted to search for her, she had already disappeared completely.

Frustration quickly turned to finger-pointing. “Why didn’t any of you make sure the woman with the needles stayed behind? What if she wasn’t even a real doctor? Who’s going to answer for it if Vincent’s condition worsens?”

“You told me to clear a path ahead. How was I supposed to keep an eye on her?”

“Quick, get word to Ms. Deleon!”

“We’ve already informed her. She’s on her way now. And don’t just stand here. Go check the security footage immediately. That woman can’t be allowed to slip away. It doesn’t matter how she got hold of a VIP pass or what connections she has; it’s a critical situation! If anything happens, we’ll be the ones held accountable!”

As soon as Brad reached the concert’s parking area, the thick crowd brought his car to a standstill, and his expression tightened in frustration.

A concert that was meant to run for two full hours had been unexpectedly halted after only one.

Where was Rylie now?

Brad knew full well that searching for Rylie so openly would only leave him in a difficult spot.

He couldn’t quite explain why, but something inside him urged him to see her again.

His car had remained parked along the roadside for some time. Just as he sat there, staring at the crowd in a daze, a familiar silhouette caught his eye, strolling calmly past.

Unfortunately, by the time Brad stepped out of the car and moved to catch up, Rylie had once again vanished into the bustling crowd, slipping out of sight.
