Chapter 568:
Gasps rippled through the onlookers. Beatrice and the others reeled as if the ground had been yanked from under them.
“You… you’re just a maid’s daughter? And you’re not tied to Mr. Morgan at all?” Beatrice’s voice sliced through the air as she lunged at Zaylee, nails ready to strike. “You lying thief! You’ve destroyed everything — my shop, my money, my name!”
Fury consumed her, driving her toward Zaylee with the single intent of tearing apart the one who had shattered her world.
The other parents, realizing they had been duped, surged forward with fury in their eyes. The anger they had been holding back now poured out, aimed squarely at Zaylee.
“Give back the money! Return the bags and jewelry!”
“You little country girl! How dare you pretend to be from high society and fool us!”
“You and that fake mother are frauds! You’ll pay for this!”
Chaos erupted. The crowd shoved and clawed. Zaylee’s hair was yanked, her gown ripped, scratches blooming across her face as she clutched her head and screamed.
The fake “Mrs. Cullen” cowered on the floor, curling into herself. “This has nothing to do with me!” she shrieked.
Perla broke through the crowd, desperation in her voice. “Stop! Don’t hurt my daughter! She’s young — she doesn’t understand!”
Brock, following Brad’s orders, made no move to stop the attack.
He only waited, watching the storm rage until the parents began to tire, before signaling the bodyguards.

Security swept in, pulling Beatrice and the others away, restraining them as they fought to break free.
“Silence!” The host’s voice boomed over the microphone, heavy with authority. “If you disrupt this auction again, there will be consequences. Those not involved must leave immediately!”
Zaylee sat slumped on the floor, one eye swelling shut, blood tracing her lips. She glared at Rylie, her voice ragged. “Are you satisfied now?”
Rylie’s expression stayed calm. “You did this to yourself. Had you not decided to lie, to let vanity consume you, none of this would have happened.”
Brock stepped toward Rylie, his tone now respectful. “Miss Owen, Admiral Morgan asked me to tell you he has no…”
“Personal ties with Zaylee and Perla go beyond charity. He regrets any trouble they’ve caused and asks for your understanding.”
He turned to Beatrice. “And by the way, your daughter was nearly killed by a bear. Miss Owen saved her life. Without her, your daughter would have long gone.”
